Original Review:This thing didn't really work,We bought a house and basement area and one of the rooms had some odor.It didn't do anything in the basement area and same for the room that we suspect had a dog and had dog smell.After buying this, I was working in a dollar store and saw very similar product there. so I bough 8 of them and put 8 more of these in basement and still no improvement. And it also didn't help with odor in bedroom that had a dog in it previously (chem Dry did remove that odor). So I would not recommend this. if you really want to try it, go to nearest Dollar store and you should find it there and try it out for much less cost.Update (Dec 2014):Well, OK, it did work. But only in the AZ Monsoon season (July-August). So I am raising it to 3 stars since it actually worked to eliminate the moisture. when we got back to the house in Fall, these boxes were half full with water and the room that had these units smell less musty compared to the room that did not have these. So I went to dollar store and bought 14 more of these and put them around the house for next monsoon season.

Works well for me. I use it in my shoe cabinet. I have tried different brands of charcoal odor absorbers, and basically, each works as well as the others containing the same amount of charcoal. If you have a larger area, you may prefer a product with an active fan which draws air through the charcoal.

I live in an apartment building and believe other tenants may have a cat they dont quite take care of lol needless to say the odor was finding its way into my place, particularly my master walk in closet. I picked up this product and put it on the top shelf, after a few days I noticed the smell completely disappeared! not only in my closet but the rest of my apartment as well! 5 stars!

GREAT ODOR ABSORBER! I HAVE AN OLDER HOME OUTSIDE OF CHICAGO AND HUMIDITY IS A PROBLEM. I PUT THE ODOR ABSORBER IN MY CLOSET AND THE ODOR GOES AWAY!

Does not absorb odors or moisture. Pretty much just a waste of $. I will go back to using vinegar to absorb smells. That s much cheaper and works.

It seem to help with the odor of cat litter in a small room. Even though the box is cleaned daily an odor still omits and this seems to help take it away.

Performed reasonably well. Seemed to keep odor at bay in a decent sized clothing closet.

Not noticing any effect from this product, so won't re-order it.
