The app (XSH Cam) needs work.
The camera is very good and you can use your existing doorbell wires for power. Doesn't come with batteries, I chose to buy batteries in case of power failure. The app crashes almost every time when you try to go back on the timeline to see who rang the doorbell. Takes about 3 tries before you can actually see who was there. The PIR motion detection sends notifications for almost everything even when set on low. I have chosen to disable the PIR on my app. I'm hopeful there will be a software update to the app soon, that would make this doorbell worth the money. It comes with a 32gb micro sd card but doesn't automatically record until you choose to take a picture or video though the app. But by the time you can get the app to work whoever was there is usually gone, so there is no time to take picture or video. I would like to see them set up the app to automatically start a video or take a picture when someone rings the doorbell and save it to the sd card. That way there would be a permanent record until I decided to delete it at a later time.

Poor instructions, limited app, batteries not included.
I guess it works. We are struggling to get the mobile app to connect to the device, so we have yet to access the video function. The included instructions are not very helpful and the app seems very limited and basic. We were successful in pairing the doorbell to the indoor ringer, and it functions as a wireless doorbell. This was handy for us because we didn't have a doorbell before.Do note, batteries were not included and it doesn't take the standard batteries that you would have lying around the house. It requires two 18650 size batteries, so be sure to add those to your order.

Runs out of battery every 2 weeks
Terrible product. No alerts for low battery, and runs out of battery every 2 weeks.
