Brixton Messer Medium Brim Felt Fedora Hat

Brixton hats usually run a little big, so keep that in mind when buying one. I usually wear a 7 5/8, an XL for most brands, but with each of my Brixton hats a Large fits where my normal size would be too big.This hat's not one that I've worn much, but it looks great. The way it was shipped I had to reform it a bit after receiving it, since it was scrunched in the box, but otherwise it's been good (find some help on YouTube if you need to do this and aren't familiar with the process) It's well constructed, the band doesn't look cheap, and it's good and warm. A solid, simple hat with a lot of character.

I've been a fan of Brixton hats for years. This hat in particular is always of excellent quality, and the wool felt is soft in to the touch and warm for those frosty days and nights. The hat is a bit oversized, but since I have a big head its fit is nice and comfortable on my head.I actually lost this hat while traveling, but I loved it so much that I decided to buy this very style again. I now where this as my dress hat for parties and special events and whatnot.This is an excellent hat for the money. I'd totally recommend it for anyone who is looking for a great quality hat but doesn't quite want to cough up over $100 for one. This hat is cheaper than the high end hats like Stetson, but doesn't sacrifice quality.If you're ever in the market for a good quality hat, then I'd totally recommend this one and other Brixton hat styles.

I recently started wearing a brown felt fedora that I had owned for a number of years, but never thought I looked good in hats. The brown one got positive comments, so I've started to wear it as a signature piece. When I decided to go to a conference, I thought I needed a black fedora since I often wear all black. OMG! I have NEVER had so many comments on something I've worn in my life. It looks great, it fits my head (a tricky concept to start with), and it does add a stylistic flair I've never had before. It's rare that I wear it out now without getting at least one compliment on it.I've never had a "spur of the moment" purchase turn out so well. If you're thinking of going the felt fedora route, I highly recommend this hat.

I saw this Fedora in Park City, Utah while on vacation and it was the highest quality hat I've ever seen. I usually wear an XL, so I tried it on and it was HUGE. The salesperson said Brixton hats run large. I asked for the next smallest size (Large) and he said they were sold out.Long story, short: I wanted this hat so badly I ordered it online from Amazon. I saved five bucks and got the hat in 2-3 days. This Fedora is fantastic. The quality craftsmanship, fabric, and overall design are superb. It has a wider brim than expected, but that makes it all the more unique.I highly recommend this hat!

I have 4 Brixton Hats. This one is just a little larger than other of the same size I have ordered. Hope a little shrinkage and some hat foam hat size reducers will help this. Still love the Brixton quality and cost.

As I expected this Fedora is superb - got two others in the same style. However please put them in a sturdy box for transit thru the post system.

Ich habe den Bildern bei Google, Youtube und auch den Produktbildern hier bei Amazon vertraut und einen coolen Fedora mit gerader Krempe erwartet. In der Realität wirkt der Hut dann sehr mächtig und ähnelt, wie auch schon ein anderer Rezensent geschrieben hat, eher wie eine Art Cowboyhut. Das ist natürlich meine subjektive Meinung. Fakt ist aber, das Material ist relativ dünn und "labberig". Wahrscheinlich ist deshalb die Krempe auch nicht gerade, sondern gewellt und lässt sich auch nicht in Form bringen, vielleicht durch den Einsatz eines Bügeleisens o.ä., was ich allerdings nicht getestet habe.Der Form zuträglich war sicher auch nicht, das der Hut in einen viel zu kleinen Versandkarton gequetscht war.Das Hutband ist aus Plastik und wirkt billig, lässt sich aber leicht entfernen, da es nur an 4 Stellen punktuell mit dem Hut vernäht ist.Wen das alles nicht stört: Der Hut macht einen qualitativ guten Eindruck, ist sauber und ordentlich verarbeitet.Zur Passform, die hier ja ein großes Thema ist: Ich habe Größe L bestellt und einen Kopfumfang von 61 cm, und der Hut passt perfekt. 3,5 Sterne
