Inexpensive, accurate, simple to operate, good size and easy to read. Excellent product
I use this for measuring foods, especially small quantities of herbs, spices and seasonings, as well as larger amounts up to half a Kg.The things I most appreciate:1. Consistently accurate. I can weigh the same item tomorrow and get the same weight I got today.2. Responsive to small changes. When making very small additions or removals I sometimes lift the container and replace it to update the weight for just a few hundredths of a gram. Otherwise it reacts to changes promptly.3. Easy to read. The large display and excellent back lighting make using this easy on older eyes. I have other scales that require extraordinary measures just to read the result!4. The relatively large weighing surface makes it a breeze to use. I have other small scales that I can't balance small bowls or cups on without blocking the readout. This is a great size.5. The operation if very intuitive. The only use I had for the instructions was to learn about the "counting" function. (Which is great for counting out pills, btw. I split a Costco size bottle of supplements with my wife. This makes the "counting" a snap.)6. Stays on long enough to allow me to work to the side and get back to it usually. Sometimes I reach over and remove the item and replace it just to "restart the clock", but not usually needed. The negatives are few, and trivial. I find the resistance on the button presses to be a little more than I'm used to. Not difficult, but a little more resisting to finger pressure than I expect. And cleaning is pretty easy, but there is a slight crevice between the weighing tray and the readout that can collect dusty items like flour, herb powders, etc. It cleans with a little more effort than the rest, which just needs a quick swipe with a very slightly damp sponge. If you want an affordable scale that measures accurately to a hundredth of a gram this is for you. Unqualified recommendation from here!

Accurate scale, but very small
It is very compact. (The attached picture is of the unit resting on a standard zip top sandwich bag.) In some ways, this is a positive, making it easy to store. The scale came with batteries and easy to follow directions, letting me be up and running in moments. I quickly adjusted from ounces to grams to accommodate my recipe. Tare function worked perfectly. I purposefully left the scale turned on, and it shut itself off after a decent amount of time. It was HIGHLY accurate, letting me add it remove minuscule amounts of flour to get exactly the measurements I wanted. The scale does come with a plastic 'bowl' that fits the unit. However, that bowl is so small as to be completely useless. (Thus the reason for the 4 stars, rather than 5.) Use another container, and this scale should fit most of your needs.

No complaints; would recommend!
I bought this scale due to 1)its precision and 2)the included tray. I have not been disappointed. Though I can't vouch for its accuracy in any scientific way, it seems accurate enough to me. If sensitivity is important to you, I have noticed it does not register very small amounts and does not always seem to fully "catch up" in response to accumulation that is too small/gradual, but overall the level of sensitivity is adequate for my needs. I've actually appreciated the tray even more than I thought I would; the relatively high walls keep ingredients well-contained and clean-up is super easy. I've used it both plugged in and with batteries, no trouble either way.

Handy, but I don't use it in the kitchen
I only weigh small items on this scale, I don't attempt to weigh food. I think in many cases a food container would make the scale hard to read. The platform is about 4" square, and the total depth of the scale, front to back, is only just over 5-1/2" so your food container can only be maybe 4-1/2" before it covers the numbers. Not ideal for weighing flour, for example. If you don't have to measure larger food containers, though, it works very well.

Portable. Compact. Convenient!
This tiny food scale is so portable and versatile. It comes with a container you can use to measure food. You can of course use your own container too, it lets you reset the scale to zero, and I find myself using my container to measure my liquidy foods. For others I use the container they provide. I sometimes take it with me to work too. Super easy to clean. The best part however is that the device is rechargeable!! You just plug it in and recharge. And in case of emergencies you can use batteries! This feature makes it so convenient and versatile really.

Chemistry teacher who cooks and hates to clean a lot of measuring cups likes it.
I get tired of cleaning lots of little spoons. Converting my recipes to grams makes it so I can use my chemistry skills in the kitchen with the bonus of looking impressive to my kids. For the small amount of money this unit cost, it is perfect for measurements under a pound, oops under 600g. A precision of 1 gram is just fine for cooking, so don't sweat that. I checked it against known mass items and it is dead on.

Perfect size, good design
I bought this scale to replace the other item that got broken and I'm happy with my choice. It has perfect size and design. The lid serves as a tray to put in products which makes it very convenient to cover and prevent any damage. I didn't need to read instructions because it is very easy and intuitive to use. And it is very accurate: you drop a seed and it changes the number.

Nice size and accurate
Great scale. Seems to be accurate compared to my other kitchen scale. I really like the rechargeable feature. My only complaint is their are too many options for weighing. I would of been happy with just grams and oz.
