nice designs, kinda' spendy
i thought these bowls were made in England...i think i got that idea somewhere other than the amazon website tho.They were designed in England, but manufactured in China, just like all the other way less expensive commonplace blue splatter camping bowls.The tops have a rolled edge that is sharp underneath and will probably trap food. I purchased blue ones from an off-line retailer for about one half the price of these and they have a stainless steel rim to protect the enamel edge. I DO like the designs and the size.... They're about 5" in diameter and 2 and 5/8" deep. They come nicely packaged in a pretty box that you can shelve on its side so it makes kind of like a little cupboard for them. Otherwise could probably chip. I have not used them yet so i cannot report on how good the enameling is. I'll enjoy them while they last. I think they will need special care.

These are beautifully made, lightweight
For those looking for alternatives to plastic for small children, it's hard to find bowls and cups that won't break. These are beautifully made, lightweight, and easy to hold for small hands. The bows are little bit deep for cereal, but my girl doesn't mind. We also have the matching tumblers now, Night and Day plates, and mugs with handles. I wish they had been easier to find and there were more products like them out there.

Nice tight fitting lid
This enamelware canister is adorable. I gave it to my son-in-law filled with hot chocolate as a gift. He hunts a lot and camping is a regular event, so a good container is a must. The lid fits tightly and it looks good enough that it can sit out on the counter at home too. Wanted to keep it for myself once I saw it, but I did the right thing. Lol

Great alternative to plastic for kids!
The kids love using these and they're a good size for cereal, soup, snacks, etc. Don't have to worry about them breaking.

Great little enamel-over-steel bowls
They are light, pretty, and rugged. Recommend them to everyone who both want rugged trekking tableware and do not necessarily think that anything capable of holding a hot chow is great, however ugly.
