It smells very bad!
It's organic ginger but smells really disgusting as it was putrified before made into powder. I also looks unattractive of some brown color. Never had such ginger. I love Trader Joe's ginger powder tea, nice look and taste. After I experienced such bad smell, I don't want to open this container again. This product is non returnable so I don't know what to do with it. Maybe I will use it for foot bath but I have to wear a mask then.

Bad batch? Tastes like it’s contaminated.
I’ve had a lot of fresh, organic ginger in my life. It’s one of my favorite herbs and I often eat sliced ginger root. But there is something wrong with this. The taste is off. Maybe it absorbed flavor from something else while drying or in shipping, but the taste isn’t right. It’s a bit like vomit. Sorry for using that as a descriptor but I can’t find another way to describe it. This is not good.One other note: the included serving spoon is way too long. The spoon won’t fit back in easily after first use. See my picture where the spoon is wedged into place to get the container to close.

It is horrible sludge. Don’t buy.

Best I have tried
I have tried several powders and liquid, but this is the best overall. Do not have the "gritty" component and its easy to mix in my tea.
