this thing is Awesome. It's up there in price but well worth ...
First let me say, this thing is Awesome. It's up there in price but well worth it, especially from an artists standpoint. I have bought sooo many action figures and dolls and the likes in order to help with figure drawing over the years, and none could compare to these. I bought one as soon as I saw it, and it was so perfect I bought two more. Ok, now for the review, The first thing I realized is that it was smaller then I thought, but after using it for a time i realized it was just about the perfect size for what it's meant for, any bigger would make it awkward and hard for the stand to hold it. The male figure is a dream to use, the articulation is great, the motion is smooth and firm. When you position it, it wont move. I positioned a figure in a flying position and put it on it's stand and it set for a week and didn't move an inch. I had them for a little more then three months now, and the joints are still tight. the only bad thing I can say for the figure is that it could have a little more up and down head motion and it wont do a complete leg split, so no vertical side kicks, but that's just me being picky. It's sturdy and has a tiny bit of weight to it, so you feel it wont break as soon as you pick it up.It comes with 7 or 8 pairs of hands, a gun, sword, laptop etc, (read the description) all that make it worth the extra penny. The hands are WELL sculpted for their scale and pops on and off the wrist easily, but what impressed the hell out of me was the stand it comes with doubles as a storage box for all the accessories it comes with, Brilliant. The Female Figure, this one scares me, it's much smaller then the male and right off the bat you realize the shoulders and different from the males and thus the range of motion is not quite the same, in order to move her arms you have to twist and bend. Because her arms are so small I feel if anything breaks it will be her shoulder joint, and at this point i don't know if you can pop their arms and leg out and pop them back in, and I'm not ready to find out, so if you order the female figure be gentle,.. or it could be I got a bad one, or the female is just made that way? What I like most is the shape of the arms legs and feet, it's a very good sculpt, very manga-ish, I have not see these kind of curves on any other drawing/action figure. One last nice touch is, it comes with is a 7x7 piece of card stock paper with grid lines printed on it, which could be used to set the figure on, or set it behind the figure to help with perspective line drawing,.. Nice. If you are an artist like myself interested in doing comics or any other drawings which require a lot of figure drawing these figures are definitely wort the investment.

Received a bootleg
It wasn't even a good bootleg. Really badly cast plastic, melty details, extremely brittle, no range of motion. Not really unusable for pose reference as I couldn't pose it. This version was discontinued a while ago so I doubt if there's any legitimate ones left in stock.

Decent but Overpriced Art Figure with Some Flaws
The S.H.Figuarts Body Kun DX Set is decent but falls short of being exceptional. The articulation is solid, allowing for a wide range of poses, which is great for artists or collectors looking for a flexible figure. However, the joints can feel a bit stiff or loose in certain areas, making it tricky to hold some positions. The included accessories are nice, but they don’t feel particularly high-quality or comprehensive for the price. The grey color is neutral and works well for sketching or design purposes, but the overall finish is a bit dull compared to other figures in the same line. It’s a functional tool for artists, but it doesn’t really stand out. If you’re looking for a no-frills poseable figure, it works, but it might not justify the cost for those expecting premium quality.

Not terrible, but not great
So I'll start by saying that I only expected to receive body-kun but was also given body-chan. I wasn't aware I would be receiving both, but I'm not complaining. My first complaint though is the fact the listing says gray yet I received the black pair. I even checked to see if I possibly clicked the wrong listing, but nothing indicated I would be receiving a color other than gray. Another issue is the stand for body-kun doesn't hold him at all. It's far too loose and I don't know if it can't be tightened but body-chan can be used with hers. I also have no idea how to stick either stand in the base they're supposed to be able to use as the shapes don't match up. For the positives, they came with a lot of accessories and various hand options. Posing was a fun experience and I actually can't wait to use them for art.

Great maquett
Writing this from the perspective of an artist. The intent was to use these figures as maquettes. I bought the SH Figure arts grey bodykun, received an orange version, and bought the newer female Firma in grey.I love the grey SH figure. He's really wonderful. Incredibly expensive for what you get but if you are looking for a decently proportioned articuled figure to draw from, there are not many options available. He's a fantastic replacement for those useless wooden ones. The small size doesn't bother me at all, it actually allows me to construct a scene with clay or found objects a little bit better anyhow. He moves very smoothly, has a number of interchangeable hands. There is some motion restriction that can be bothersome where the manufacturer just made some aesthetic choices. The back of his head neck and lower waist don't move as well as I'd like but that's my only complaint.I also have the orange one but I think it's an older model maybe. His legs sort of click into place instead of letting me pose them well, his torso is a little loose and his shoulders don't feel as sturdy or smooth in movement. He is cheaper though. The Figma female is nice, better proportioned then the female SH figure arts model, but she feels flimsy and isn't as well constructed in general. I may add another grey one someday, or if a newer model xomes out on amazon. Hope this review helps!

It's a scam.
Order one, got a cheap knock off. Bandai claims to not know anything (when I reached out to them per Amazon's suggestion) and even when Amazon sent me a replacement and assured me it would be the actual product, only to be sent an even worse quality knock off. Now, they claim to be looking into it but won't replace, instead telling me to return it and buy from another seller.
