I had a camper shell that had rear window lift struts that had both failed. A name and a part number on the struts failed to produce any results when searched on the web. There are thousands of lift struts, with varying lengths, rod ends and lift strengths which can make a search for the correct one very daunting. I stumbled upon this advertisement for "2 Truck Upfitters 13" Gas Props (13" extended, 8.1" compressed, 30 pounds of pressure ea)" and decided to order them. The price was very good for 2 units, even if I had to modify the camper window. To my surprise they were the perfect length, with just the right amount of lift pressure and installed on the existing brackets in about 1 minute without modification. I will have to remember these units, in case they start to fail in the distant future.

Instructions were helpful and props were easy to install and fit perfectly. They seem to be working fine after 2 months.

I searched through about 100+ gas shocks and purchased these for the rear window lift gate on my 77 Bronco top. My support brackets were installed in the same position as the original stock lift gate, and these fit nicely. Has the right amount of pressure on closing and opens up to where the window is level. I had already installed other brackets, but the ones included will most likely work.Highly recommend.

This was a sturdy replacement for the rear window of my A.R.E bed cap / camper shell/ topper. It took me 5 minutes to pop the old ones off and snap these on. Very happy with purchase.

Worked as described

I replaced the old Struts that were 24 Lb with these and they work perfectly. Great price and over night shipping. I couldn't find the right size in town.
