First off, I never write reviews. I am so blown away by this turntable and speaker set that I felt obligated to share a review. The build quality of the turntable is unreal—there are also so many minor adjustments you can make to ensure the best quality playback. The speakers are better (in my opinion) quality than my studio monitors I use for music production. Overall, I was so confused when it came to figuring out which turntable and speakers to get and what extra gadgets I would need for it all to work, but Fluance made it so easy to get everything up and running with this stellar package. If I could leave 6 stars I would. Yes, it’s an expensive set up but considering it will last you at least 20 years, you really can’t go wrong. Your ears will thank you 😎

I have been wanting to get back in vinyl for a long time but wanted to do so without breaking the bank and get excellent sound quality.After months for hemming and hawing, review reading, talking to vinyl audio heads, I decided to get this system.What a choice it turned out to be. My wife had really never heard her favorite artists on vinyl (Bread, Carpenters, ABBA tp name but a few) and she was simply floored.Me, well, it was all I had hoped and expected it to be. VERY easy setup with minimal fuss and almost mess up proof.Looks amazing, plats even better than it looks.Thank you Fluence for a WONDERFUL system!

A little difficult set up at first, for a novice 50ish audiophile, but watched instructional video and now enjoying my old albums again. I am really pleased with my fluance RT 85 turntable and Ai61 speakers. I get compliments on the sound and aesthetics of the turntable. Highly recommend.

This was such a great purchase. I put it off for a while because I didn’t want to spend the money. Well now we play records all the time.So happy I chose this one!I find it nice that I can’t fast forward to the next song, I just listen to the whole album.

Update after 2 months. The bass issue partially resolved with proper break-in of the speakers. I went though a ground loop issue. I replaced the provided ground with ones of my own construction, and added a ground from the pre-amp to the speakers. I tried to upgrade the RCA cables and am stumped. I have gone through 3 very nice, rather expensive cables and have found only one combination that works. I use the supplied cable to the pre-amp, and a 3’ Elite Audio Pro cable from the pre-amp to the speakers. Any other combination leads to a tremendous hum, and I just can’t explain it... The biggest upgrade was the addition of a Gogroove pre-amp. It has a gain control along with a 3 band equalizer. I was noticing a lot of noise with the unit on my preferred volume for the room I have this in, and being able to limit the gain has helped with a quieter lead in, and the equalizer naturally helps boost the bass. Not changing my rating, but this whole experience has been a little frustrating. My only advice is to carefully consider your purchase, and know that this does sound really good at this price point. Then just leave it alone- it does not like me me messing with it.Original review:My recommendation is to always buy separate components for the best performance, but this package is attractive for the convenience of an “all in one” purchase, and certainly delivers near excellent sound. The turntable is fantastic. I can’t see doing any better in the $500 price range. I’ve had an Ortofon Red on my old Pioneer PL-18 and have always been impressed and have wanted to move to the Blue, and it did not disappoint. The crispness really comes through, but the lack of an equalizer and the limited bass in the speakers (almost every review mentions this) causes a noticeable lack of warmth. True, I’m still in the break-in period, but I know I’ll be adding greater equalizer capacity, possibly a sub woofer, likely a new pre-amp, and quite possibly just folding this into a full stereo setup, which I was desperately hoping to avoid due to space an cost concerns.I don’t think anyone would be majorly disappointed with this purchase, but at $900 you may have nagging doubts and feel a little let down like I do. It’s all fixable since the turntable Is the real star, and it does sound really, really...good.I don’t recall any other reviews mentioning this, but I found balancing the tone arm to be a little tricky. I found the balance and immediately lost it about 5 times, so after my first record I backed the weight off of the recommended 1.8g with no problems and plan to re- balance soon for peace of mind.Side note on the shipping. This came in 4 packages. The turntable and speakers arrived as 1 of 4 and 4 of 4, and so Amazon marked it as delivered. Not wanting to lose time when shipping companies are involved, I emailed Fluance through the system and they responded quickly with all the separate tracking. The preamp and it’s RCA cable arrived (separately) the next day.Overall happy, would have liked to give 4 1/2 stars.

Speakers need breaking in, once that happens you'll be satisfied with this purchase.

Poor customer support by Amazon. I purchased the RT85+PA10 preamp +AI speakers. RT85 @ speakers are good but PA10 very muffled. Requested refund/return of PA85 preamp. Fluance agreed, Amazon has not, even though I was told I would receive the credit by Amazon. Promises made but not kept.

can't use the turntable since the arm slides off the record!!
