I'm 5-9 & 160# and medium fits nice and tight. I'm in good shape, but have ~10# of belly fat. If you are a 185# body builder with a wasp waist I'd say medium. If you're a Wisconsin cheese curd eater I'm guessing large.

Q: What is the material the shorts are made of?

I’m not sure. The tag does not say it either. But it’s thin and feels nice and stretchy. True to size.
