ZASEVES Aluminium Garlic Press with Remove Stone, Multicolor, Small

My old combo garlic press/olive pitting tool had seen better days, so I searched for a replacement. However, combo press/pitting tools now seem few and far between. Apparently, companies want to instead capitalize on the two-item potential (a shame for those of us with scant storage space and too much wallet space).I'm underwhelmed with this item. Although the price was good, delivery took several weeks. The metal is light, as you'd expect with aluminum, but has a strong metallic smell even after washing, and the makeup of the aluminum alloy is not provided. While I haven't had the need to use it yet, like my old tool this one has a significant gap between the garlic presser plate and the sides of the garlic holder, so I'm sure much of the garlic will not go through the holes but escape around the sides of the holder, requiring a lot of repositioning to get most of it pressed. The pitting spike is thin and doesn't even extend all the way to the bottom of the fruit holder, so I doubt it will be very useful.The cardboard to which the item is attached states Made in Italy. However, I think the item I received shipped from Israel.
