When the struts on my camper shell stopped holding up the glass, I went to the auto parts store to find a replacement> I found them, but this product beats them on price by quite a bit. (Plus I have a spare set as you get 4 but need only 2.)Installation was easy. Get someone to hold up the glass, slip off the clips with a small screwdriver and just pop on the new ones. It's not a bad idea to put a small dab of grease on the ball head that the strut snaps on to first.This model actually had more spring tension (gas tension, I suppose) than the original and opens the glass with a much more positive feel. I also now use two hands to close it as it feels like it would be out of balance to just push one side.Overall, though, I'm very happy with the purchase and have a spare set if or when these start to sag.

This is good product. Only reason for 4 stars is shipping. First order I received the product was missing, only an empty box showed up. 2nd order was received but had a hole in the box where it almost fell out. Not a product problem but a shipping problem.
