I got these to put in my medical kit and carry while on-duty as an EMT. I was not sure if I would ever really have need for the flashing red light or the SOS/strobe white light feature. In fact, half the time I go to turn on the white light and accidentally activate the red lights instead!I just got back from working a night fireworks show at a stadium with over 45,000 people. We got dispatched to two patients way up in the stands of the stadium during the grand finally. As you might imagine, everyone was standing up looking at the sky and not paying much attention to what was going on around them. Little kids were playing in the isle. Blaring music made it impossible to be heard unless you were standing directly next to someone. Having the flashing white and red lights helped clear the crowded isle much faster than if I had just a normal white light.You can remove the headband and mount these lights on MOLLE webbing or loops on a backpack shoulder strap (if the loop is long enough).

Package of headlamps is a good value. The lights are fairly bright and they are comfortable. Overall the quality seems good making this a good overall value. I gave this a 4 instead of a 5 because you can't just turn the light off without going through the flash mode which is highly annoying. This makes it very disruptive if you are trying to use the headlamp without alerting or disturbing others. Truth is I don't ever use the flashing feature and would be happier if they didn't have it at all. The same is true for the red light. It doesn't help to use the red (low light) setting if it's going to flash and demand everyone's attention when you are trying to turn it off. I understand that these are inexpensive features to include and they can claim additional features but sometimes less is more.

My husband gave away my super nice headlamp that I had for years because it developed a crack. Our friend was over working on our car and was so impressed by it. I was kinda shocked he didn’t have one because they are so handy. It’s a hands free flashlight. How could this not be a necessity in any toolbox. Anyhow now our friend has mine. I needed a new one for basic stuff around the house. Like grilling at night. Power outages. Looking for my cat when she gets out. Clipping my baby’s nails once he falls asleep.These aren’t the greatest quality. They do work well enough for household use. I’m going to buy another tactical headlamp for backpacking though. Because there is a pretty big difference.

There isn't a lot to say about these head lamps that hasn't already be said but I will add my satisfaction to the list of others who found them useful and a good value. I bought these to use with repairing fine electronics because head lamps can reach places where other lamps cannot. I was surprised by how bright they are compared to others that I have used, and the batteries were easily installed and would be easy to replace when the time comes. I didn't really need two of them but for the price I decided to give one to my daughter for use when camping. I was nervous at first because they do not have a strap that goes across the top of the head to stabilize them but I haven't had a problem with the light slipping down over my eyes and the key is to adjust the headband to the right tension.

These are NOT waterproof. The description says IPX6 (which means strongly splashproof, not waterproof), but even that is incorrect. The back of the user guide in the box says they are actually rated IPX4 (which means lightly splashproof). The description also says that these come with "Lithium Metal" batteries, which is not true. They come with 6 "Heavy Duty" (not alkaline) AAA batteries. Other than that, they seem to work very well. The beams are highly focused, which means that they are small but very bright. Separate switches for red and white LED lights might be useful. For the price, great value, so I give them 4 stars, even though they don't live up to their claims.

The media could not be loaded.  A great deal on a great pair of headlamps.Each lamp requires 4 AAA batteries which are included. How often does that happen??Can't really tell how many lumens these have - that would take someone a lot smarter than me but they provided more than enough light for me.Fully adjustable straps and the lights pivot down for better focusing on whatever you are doing.I used them on my last camping trip last weekend.I have no real idea how long the lights were on but they still have plenty of power left.I kept one in my tent and the other in my food pack to use for night time cooking and cleaning up.Well worth the price and highly recommended.

I purchased a pair of these headlamps for my wife and I to take on our Rim to Rim hike of the Grand Canyon (South to North) last August. They were perfect for the climb down at 4:30 a.m. and the climb out at 3 a.m. the following morning. The adjustable high/low worked out perfectly as lighting conditions and needs changed. Also good for conserving batteries. They were comfortable and non-intrusive and left our hands free for trekking poles and hand grabs when needed. Highly recommended and a steal at the price. Leaving for Yosemite in a month for 3+ days of hiking and the headlamps are making the trip.

Well the days are getting shorter here in Minnesota and my wife and I needed lights to go out in the early morning and later at night to walk the pooches. These lights are awesome. Very bright light with a high beam and low beam setting. Comes with 6 batteries. 3 for each light. Very happy with the light and really look forward to going out with the dogs. Feel very secure knowing I can see where I'm going and also am visible to neighborhood traffic.
