Wow!
I will never purchase an electric grinder again. It’s was easy to put together and easy to use. I need to work on the grinding settings though. But with all fairness. I didn’t put much effort to figure out the settings yet. I did grind the beans fine and it was AWESOME! Be patient and take the time to figure out ur grinding preference.

Great so far
Just used it for the first time, first off the design is great the build quality is solid, the flared base and top were a great idea, it helps getting coffee beans in and the bottom fits in a portafilter or aeropress top. The setting it arrived in was way too fine, its hard to figure out where it was set but thats part of the fun, put some beans in started grinding, was basically powder, down 3 steps like espresso, about 6 steps down from that i arrived to a pretty good size, point is this thing has allot of adjustability, this was the cheapest manual metal burr grinder i could find, but for $40 this has far exceeded my expectations.

Very good grinder
This grinder is quite good, but let’s face it, for this kind of money, it better be! And it is. It’s got a great look to it and feels like it’s made quite well. I love the input capacity as it holds more than my other grinder that plays in this price range. This one has a good fit and finish, uses quality bearings, has a nice smooth crank action, and works well. The grind adjuster clicks nice and is easy to dial in the correct coarseness for your desired grind. The tactile clicks are satisfying and easy to count to get repeatable and consistent grinds. It’s packaged nicely and comes with a great array of accessories. The blow bulb and the wooden portion scoop are nice extras, and the included brush for cleaning is of decent quality. Disassembly is straightforward and easy enough, but reassembly leaves a bit to be desired. The adjustment bar that you turn to adjust the grind is also the retaining “nut” and is quite difficult to thread on while compressing the spring during reassembly. It’s just a very awkward process and IMO is somewhat of a design flaw. Also, the retaining plate that is installed before the adjustment bar is oversized and doesn’t leave the grinding head exposed at all which makes disassembly the only way to clean it at all. My other $100 grinder for example has a much smaller retaining plate that leaves some of it exposed enough to partially clean the cutting head body with the brush without any disassembly. With this grinder it simply isn’t possible. Another small nit picky complaint is that the crank handle bar is so close to the body’s upper ridge that if you use too much force down while cranking you can actually get it to rub. I feel it could have used an extra mm or 2 of clearance. The machining on the cutter head isn’t quite as fine tolerance and nice as my other grinder, but it is more than sufficient to get the job done well. You can clearly see the machining marks upon close inspection. Holy cow tho, This has such an elegant and classy look to it, and I prefer the aesthetics Of this one. The acrylic top cover is a nice touch. It’s a high quality piece that with its nice packaging and included accessories does probably justify its high price. You get what you pay for and this one will definitely perform better and last longer than grinders that sell for much less. The fine grind you get with this is good enough to get proper espresso shot pulls off my cappuccino machine, but not quite the absolute best. My other grinder seems to get it a bit more airy and fluffy with a tad finer quality machining on the cutter head. This one isn’t far behind though, it’s just not quite my very favorite.. But this one also costs a bit less than my absolute favorite and also includes more accessories and a nice presentation. This will make a great gift! I would be quite happy using this as my only Grinder and I can still recommend it despite my small nit picks.

Heavy quality grinder, simple to use, the top acrylic disc may not have been the best choice
FIRST IMPRESSIONS: Well presented in a box that could be wrapped to make a nice gift. Contains the coffee grinder, a wooden scoop, a bulb blower and brush for cleaning and a storage bag.The grinder itself is a heavy solid piece of metal, it feels good quality in the hand. Opening up the bottom of the grinder it again looks good quality with well machined parts and a control mechanism to adjust the coarsness of the grind.USE: The grinder is simple to use, put the coffee beans in the top, put the handle assembly on the spindle and turn it until it stops grinding coffee. Unscrew the bottom receptacle and you now have your ground coffee.CONCLUSION: This is a good coffee grinder, well machined with quality components. I think the one thing that lets it down is the clear acrylic circle that together with the handle forms the top. I do not see it lasting a long time without getting scratched up. I know this would not adversely effect the functionality but we have coffee grinders like this for both functionality and aesthetics. REVIEW PHILOSOPHY: I only review a product if it is something I am capable of critically evaluating through comparison, testing and use. This means I have experience of using similar items; or that I have equipment or tools that I can test it with; or that I have an upcoming need so I can actually use. I am as selective about getting an item to review as I would be about purchasing that same item, so yes, I expect it to be a good product. My reviews are NOT based on packaging or if it was delivered timely.
