It arrived the very next day in which I selected and I ordered the item in black.Firstly it looks smart, it isn't overly big either so would fit on most surfaces and it's not something you really have to put together. The instructions included are clear, easy to read and have great pictures to show how things are done.Before I could use my perfect prep machine i had to run a cleaning process which was very quick and simple and didn't need anything major for it.There are also tons of buttons down the side that light up if the water is too hot, the machine needs descaling, is running low on water etc etc. this is so handy! It also tells you when the filter needs changing.Now.. Here is the best bit.So say I want to make a 6oz bottle.Usually I would have to boil the kettle, pour it in a bottle, shake it without burning my hands, and then wait 20 minutes for the bottle too cool down whilst my daughter is persistent on screaming until it is ready..With the perfect prep, you can set the machine to pour 6 oz, but no worries if next time you only decide to do 4, you just change the dial, so simple and easy, almost like an old fashioned telephone!The machine then releases a hot shot, you then add your formula powder. This hot shot is a shot of boiling water that goes in the bottle to dispose of any bacteria in the powder. You have 2 minutes to add the powder or it will not let you continue to make that feed as after that two minutes, if you haven't added powder, the hot shot would had cooled down too much and won't do its job, a handy tool again. Then after you've added your powder you press the button again and the rest of the water is added, but this time at perfect room temp. When the bottle is complete the prep machine beeps to let you know. You then shake the bottle and test it on your wrist! Although I can guarantee it will be at the perfect temperature for your baby. This is all completed in roughly 1 minute. It's so quick, so easy, so clean and so smart.I now believe that it was worth every single penny I payed and I would recommend to any mums still using formula or have newborns. Especially new mums! Don't make the work harder for yourself! But this! One of the best baby products we have bought, saves so much time and hassle.Like many of you I presume, we also had the dilemma of how do you prep your formula?1 - Individually each time, boiling the kettle, adding the formula, cooling the milk and trying to get to the perfect body temperature before feeding your baby? This is the recommended process and takes ages! Not what you want to do 6+ times a day, especially during the night.2 - This is not recommended, but others prepare a handful of bottles in one go. Boil the kettle, put in formula and let cool before putting in fridge for a max 24 hours. Each time the baby feeds you boil the kettle again to warm the milk up to the desired temperature. This is not recommended but people do it, but again this takes time boiling kettles and you have to get the temperature right. Not ideal when baby is screaming and during the night!3 - Others boil the kettle and let the water cool. Then add the formula to cold boiled water and feed. This is also not recommended and probably the worst thing you can do as the formula needs boiling water to kill off any bacterial.Tommee Tippee Perfect Prep does everything you need in 2 minutes. Put bottle under dispenser, press button which provides a shot of boiling water instantly. You have to add the formula, shake, then replace under the dispenser. It fills the bottle to the volume selected (ounces) then beeps twice when done!!! Put on the teat, shake and feed! No hassle, extremely quick, safe for baby and at the right temperature......whats not to like about this???I can't understand the poor reviews.......it's the most useful, hassle free product you can buy. My wife and I are professionals and like doing things efficiently. But as someone who used the kettle last time I know that at 3am I personally don't want to come downstairs, put fresh water in the kettle, let it boil, let it cool to the right temperature and then start making the bottle up whilst my baby is screaming. I was happy to pay for a device that I make use of 8x a day that in 2 mins (and using only one hand whilst holding the baby in the other!) means I can make a perfect temperature fresh bottle for my baby. I am by no means saying it does something that's physically impossible to achieve without it. But from my point of view it makes a fiddly, monotonous task a doddle.
