Worked as a water heater
I installed this as a water heater for a hydronic unit. The manual is nearly useless. But after spending some time with the controls I was able to find how to set it so it turned on automatically. However, I was unable to find a setting for turn-on temperature which would be really helpful. The unit didn't last too long. My fault. The 12VDC power ran through a controller which for some reason decided to shutdown the power while the unit was running which as the manual says is really bad for the unit.

Directions - Unit - Support are Cheap
Directions are impossible to understand and omit information, finally able to install yet unit will not fire up after several tries. No tech support available. I will probably trash unit and purchase reliable unit. I should have known "you get what you pay for"... Cheap...

Poor instructions, annoying controls, does heat coolant.
Heater starts up, heats water to temperature, but once it shuts off, it won’t restart automatically. It can be turned back on but won’t cycle on its own. Water pump also shuts off shortly after the heater cycles so it won’t keep anything heated. Have tried working through the settings but there is nothing easy about the settings. Documentation is weak. I’m giving it 3 stars because it seems like it should work, but I’m not sure I’d recommend it unless someone can explain how to make it cycle automatically and keep the pump running.

Only works for 1hr and shuts off.
Does heat up a 15L Cummins engine with 13gl of coolant in no time. But the Instructions are impossible to understand.I can’t get it to run more than one hr on its own.Anyone know how to program the shut off time?

It works but a pain to operate
Once I spent hours trying to understand the directions and making educated guess' I finally got it working and it works great so far. If you have a u924 code you don't have enough electricity going to it. Wire it directly to the battery.
