Great little Hub. But a little something to be aware of..
So I put a question on here the other day asking about its compatibility and got a couple of different answers. I have now received mine through the post and have used it fairly briefly so far, but heres what I've found out..The laptop I'm using with this is a 2017 MacBook Pro 13'' With Touch Bar.SizeIts a lot smaller than I expected, which is always a good thing, seems well built for the money and is very light weight. BrilliantCompatibilitySo, that device comes with a very short USB C to USB C cable. That works perfectly with the device as you would expect. Now I wanted to be able to use a longer cable with it, as I want to put the unit out of the way. Now I can confirm that the Official Apple 2 Meter USB C Cable that comes supplied with your MacBook Pro does NOT work with this unit. Which is a bit annoying. However.. I also purchased a Anker 3ft USB 3.1 - Gen 1 USB C to USB C cable. That works perfectly with it. So I'm not sure if its the cable length or the quality of Apples cable that is making it not perform, but its worth noting.Value For MoneyI actually think this is brilliant Value for money, as its one of the only Portable USB C Hubs where you can add a longer cable to that works. Ive spent many hours hunting for an affordable device and this is the best I've seen. I wish you could charge the laptop through the spare USB C, but that appears ti be for External Devices only.4 Stars instead of 5 is just because I was told by the Seller that I could use the Apple Cable and it would work no problem. That just tells me that they haven't tried it before giving a response. Im thankful that I ordered the Anker cable at the same time, otherwise I would of looked to return it. The whole point for me is that I can add a longer cable to the Hub.Overall I'm very happy. I will more than likely order another one if this proves to be reliable, as for the money and for the size and for what you actually get, it great.

Adequate.
Cheap and plasticky, and on reflection it would make a much tidier workspace if all the ports were on the same side, so design doesn't suit me. It does work though, and means a macbook with its 1 port for USB and charging is actually now a useful computer! However, be warned, this hub does lower the wattage of your charger. I bought a cheap charger on Amazon. A 27 watt charger delivered only 15 watts, and wouldn't keep charge and run computer. Run system report on Mac to see you're in negative milliamps.Invested in 87 watt charger and it gives 80 through this hub which runs everything fine.It does say in the manual of this product that it limits charging in this way, so like me you may find you've got to fork out on a more powerful charger than your computer spec says it needs.USB c lead too short. Leading to cluttered workspace.

I am very pleased with this though one issue is that I have noted it does mean your laptop will charge much more slowly than it does on the same power supply plugged direct into it. I have yet to experiment with the bigger Macbook charger but the 29W supply pretty much takes twice as long to charge as it does when plugged direct and this is with no devices plugged into the hub.Update: On the bigger PSU charge times are better however USB output seems very low it takes nearly all day to charge my phone using the USB. All that said I still think it is great value and the HDMI port works perfectly.

HDMI didnt work with my Dell Ultrawide
I have 15" Macbook pro 2017. The HDMI port didn't work with my Dell Ultrawide 34" so I returned this. I did feel bit plastic and cheap but I liked the fact you could choose your own cable to connect to your laptop. This is something most other hubs seem to lack.

Makes having a computer with just one USB-C port actually useful. At first
Works perfectly with my early 2016 Mac. Makes having a computer with just one USB-C port actually useful. At first, I couldn't work out how to charge the Mac at the same time as utilising the functionality of everything else on the adapter block, to do this, you need to make sure that you connect the supplied USB-C cable to the Mac one end, and connect the other to the adapter block and make sure that both the arrows on the cable and block are facing upward. You can now charge the Mac by connecting the charger to the spare USB-C port on the block.

Perfect accessory for your laptop
Perfect accessory for your laptop! I am using a 12" MacBook and it works perfectly. It charges it at the same time whilst using HDMI (which has amazing graphics) and charges my phones all at once! It looks a lot smaller than the picture suggests so it's compact and easy to carry around.

It does not work
It does not work. This is was a fake device. I am an online teacher and I need to power my MacBook and connect other things to it and I expected this to work but I does not.
