Extra Large Organic Bamboo Cutting & Charcuterie Board with Juice Groove & Reversible

I live in Arizona and purchased this for my outside kitchen which is under an awning. After one day in the 105 degree heat, the layers of bamboo started to desperate. I am attempting to save it with Olive oil rub, but am upset that it only took one day to start falling apart! Will contact seller to see if they have any suggestions but beware and Gove this a coat of cooking oil to fight the shrinkage in low humidity environments

I ordered this despite negative reviews.Short version: good size but poor construction. Look elsewhere unless you gotta have 20x14 size and just can't find a different one at a reasonable price.BUT the first cutting board arrived in two pieces. Amazon was great with the return. I liked the size, 20x14, so I ordered a replacement.The second one came in 1 piece. Yay!There were no noticable cracks, so I felt that the 1st one was just a fluke.I've never used the board, yet. However, just sitting in my kitchen off to one side, apparently it absorbed ambient moisture. Minute fractures developed in 2 different places. The board consists of multiple layers of bamboo glued together kinda like plywood. The outer layers are rather thin. It was in the outer layers that the cracks developed. The underlying layers seem unaffected. But it's disconcerting to have this happen with NO use.Any cutting board, over time, requires a treatment of mineral oil which you can buy at your local pharmacy cheaply. It's food grade, check in the baby section. But I've never had to treat any cutting board I've owned BEFORE using. It's probably a good idea tho. But I CERTAINLY felt I HAD to with this board.I won't use this as a cutting board. I bought as a cutting board to use placed over 2 burners in the stove (no pilots so no heat) and chop some things there. Which is why the size is perfect. To sit firmly on the burner grills quite stabily I live in a cramped studio with a small kitchen.I'll still use it on too if the burners for additional counter space, but I WON'T chop anything on it.

I thought since this was made out of bamboo that it would be pretty straight. The one we received has a definite warp down the middle so it doesn’t lay flat while trying to cut something. It’s not well sanded either, there are a few rough patches in the crevice. Other than spinning on the countertop when trying to cut something, it does the job, I guess.

It’s a good size, but that’s pretty much its only good pointIt arrived with dents. As soon as I took it out of the packaging, i got a splinter. The edges and any dented areas are very rough. Like...need a sanding rough. I washed it per directions, and during the towel dry phase, my towel filled up with small splinters! Maybe after regular oiling and usage it’ll smooth over time, but I wouldn’t trust this as a cutting board as is. One side is cracked and looks filled in with some sort of glue.If I hadn’t already washed and oiled it, I would return it. Guess I’ll use it as a serving plate with some sort of cloth on top.

Bought this specifically for the 20 x 14 size to fit a specific place. Not a big deal for most, but when you search for a size and finally find it you expect it to be within those specifications. No doubt it's a good bamboo cutting board, but it's still smaller than advertised.

Split down the back of board (as seen in other customers pics) & warped upon arrival. Definitely would not use this for any type of food prep. Considering the quality, it is way overpriced. Got it to use as a bathroom sink cover to give me extra counter space while doing hair & makeup, but doubt it will last very long even for that purpose.

I bought 5 of these cutting boards. Everyone of them had cracks on both sides. The juice groove was very poorly routed. The surface of the boards were not finished at all well. I will not order from this seller again. I will keep the boards, but I will need to refinish both sides, all edges and the juice grove and all of the cracked surfaces. I suggest that you invest your money in a cutting board of better quality and workmanship.

The board I received is not 0.75" thick, it is only 5/8" or 0.625" thick. My old one was 20 x 14 x 0.75 and perfectly satisfactory. After many years of good service it developed a lengthwise split, so it was time to replace it. By beingslightly thinner, the new board lacks the confident feel of the old one. In fact it feels much more susceptible to splitting or breaking. In my opinion, it is not an acceptable replacement product, and I suggest you look for another cutting board that is thicker.

If you don't want splinters in your hands and food, you should avoid this purchase. It is the worst cutting board I've ever seen. It's a good size but made of absolute garbage wood and not finished properly. Just lifting it up will give you a splinter in your hand and I certainly wouldn't put any food on it. WORST PRODUCT EVER!!

I took a gamble on this cutting board and lost. Poorly made, warped, boards not glued or pressed properly and the top and bottom are rough and wavy probably because it was never sanded or planed flat. It would cost me more to return it so I’ll keep it for now but it’ll end up as firewood at my trailer site.

I bought this thinking it was a good quality board. I had it just a few weeks, washed it by hand and dried it but it has a bow in it now and wont lay flat. Not worth the money.

It looked nice in the pictures but when it arrived it had a warp and the groove wasn't an even depth all the way around. It serves its purpose but I wouldn't buy another one.
