Leaves Potentiall Dangerous Particles Floating in Water.
Awful product! Used these in my Sun Sun canister filter for my 75 gallon African cichlid tank. Despite using additional media like ceramic rings, charcoal, and bio balls, I had to ditch the entire filter and go with a large bio-wheel instead because of this padding. It spewed particles in the water despite rinsing it thoroughly prior to use. My water looked "dusty." Not only is that unattractive but I cannot imagine having fish breathing these particles is healthy for them. I would advise a different type of filter altogether but if using a canister, perhaps another brand of filter pad would work better. As for me, I will always steer folks away from these.

I think they are fine if you toss the filters every time you clean ...
These seem to delaminate more than they used to when trying to rinse and re-use. I think they are fine if you toss the filters every time you clean the canister but I like to get at least two cycles out of my filter pads.
