Sturdy and nice looking but did have a few scratches on it

I bought two of these for my garage. The nice stainless finish looks sharp and it is very sturdy. The first one came with a couple of bent supports like some gorilla threw it down to the ground from two stories up. This even though the item was very well packaged and protected. I didn't return it because a little work with the ball peen hammer took care of it. I mean, it's going in the garage right? The second one came in perfect condition. It's not terribly easy to install because the predrilled mounting holes naturally don't fit at the stud width in the walls. I drilled my own holes to fit the way I wanted in the studs because it is rather heavy and needs good solid support. You'll want good M42 Cobalt drill bits to go through the metal. The sheetrock anchors that come with it are a joke. I tried several and they pulled right out so that's why I wound up drilling new holes so I could anchor into the studs. Overall, I'm well pleased and would recommend these shelves.

These shelves are for a basement or work room but not for a kitchen unless your decor is all about labels and brand names glaring at you. Sturdy? As long as you use good anchors. There is a protective covering which peeled off easily but both shelves had slices in that covering the entire length of the front edge leaving a scar in the steel. But the worst part was trying to remove their brand label on the front edge. I used acetone, rubber cement thinner and MORE. I finally had to scrape it gently with a razor blade which was a nightmare. There is residual glue on it which won’t come off. I tried steel wool too. I didn’t return because I just wanted to get the job done but this was deliberate and I find it repulsive that a company would do this. I’d never buy from this brand again.

This shelf is strong enough, and the perfect size, to mount a lithium battery in a Camco box, for an outdoor, off-the-grid solar application. We actually mounted the shelf upside-down, and spray painted it (and the Camco box) with Rustoleum paint, to protect it and make it look nice in our application. Upside-down, the shelf has edges that help hold the battery securely, and there were sufficient screw holes to allow us to attach the shelf tightly to our beam. We drilled one drain hole in the shelf. This application is not necessarily what was intended for this shelf, but it is exactly what we needed, and the shelf did not deform under the heavy battery load.

Good quality and good storage space

The shelves arrived fine and I'm content with the quality of the finishing. I'm using this in the garage to hold up an electric pressure washer and the shelf is holding up well with both brackets mounted into my wall studs.The included mounting hardware include 1-inch self-tapping screws with wall anchors and washers. I opted to get some 2-inch length screws (given what my use case is,) skipped the wall anchors, and mounted straight into the wall studs.The finishing is fine for my needs, but I do wish the edges of the wall brackets were finished better. They are a bit sharp, so I'd be careful around with hoses, cables, and fingers. Some of the product pictures show folded edges on that part, but it was a straight cut on my 12"x24" model.

The support bars were not long enough. You need at least 3 to hold so that the shelf can actually carry something. Had to macquiver the shelves. Will not buy these shelves again. Cheaper and easier to make my own!!
