Border Dark Chocolate Gingers 150g

My husband used to travel to Scotland on business. On his way through London he would buy me Marks and Spencer dark chocolate dipped ginger cookies. I was in heaven. When his business in Scotland was finished, so was my supply of cookies! We searched in vain for years to find a way to get them online. A couple of months ago, my husband mentioned that he had found the Borders cookies online and had ordered them. To our delight, in our opinion, they are even better than the Marks and Spencer cookies! I can't tell you what a treat it is to be able to enjoy dark chocolate covered ginger cookies again. The cookies have pieces of candied ginger in them, making them even more gingery. I buy four or five boxes at a time and keep them in the freezer. They defrost quickly, without any loss of taste. If you love ginger and dark chocolate, these are for you!

I was sent these "biscuits" last year by a British family. I looked in cooking shops in my area, hoping to find them, but was disappointed. I was delighted to find them available at Amazon and bought them for my friends at Christmas. They are tasty and unusual enough to be a fun gift exchange for friends at the office or in the neighborhood. I have to admit that they are so good that I set aside one box of them for myself and did not share a crumb of it.

After being introduced to these cookies in Ireland in Nov. 2010, I was anxious to find a way of ordering more. When I found them on Amazon, I was happy, even though they were expensive. When I received my package, I was disappointed. The chocolate covering the biscuits had the grey chalky look and when I ate the biscuit it was stale. I called and they happily sent a replacement...but the replacement was not much better.

We discovered Borders Dark Chocolate Gingers on a trip to England and brought a box home with us that disappeared all too quickly. Why, oh why hadn't we brought more home? So I went online and googled and to my delight found I could order them through Amazon! They have that wonderful ginger "bite" enrobed in delicious dark chocolate and are positively addictive. Try them! If you like ginger, you'll love these.

if there were a sixth star I would award it! Very crispy and gingery cookies thoroughly coated in first class dark chocolate. I first had these in Scotland 13 years ago and have been looking for them every since. thanks for carrying them.

Excellent cookies. I found these in a store in Canada and loved them. Ordered them here on Amazon and received from the UK in a couple of weeks.
