Forever Norton

Bought this book for my mom who loves cats and cat books, and she enjoyed it very much. I did not read it. I am reporting what she said.

I found this book so sad. I realised when I was only a couple of chapters in that, because I knew that Norton would pass to cat heaven in his book, it coloured the rest of it for me and though there were plenty of good stories I was waiting for the inevitable. When Norton finally became ill the book went from sad to heart-rending as Peter struggled to cope then, through sheer love of this tiny animal, overcame his neuroses to provide the best care possible for his little pal. I think I went through most of a box of tissues and, on finishing the book, have placed it on the pile of books for the charity store as I just don't think I can read it again - my tear ducts can't cope! It's both heart-warming and heart-rending at the same time and, although very sad, it's a reminder of how the love of any creature whether cat or human can transform a life.

I have read all the Norton books and loved them, this one didn't make me cry until the last few chapters, but I wept buckets reading them. really lovely story of a great cat and his loving owner.

I've read the first of this trilogy and am looking forward to reading this.

Excellent book in the series

If you are a cat lover this is a lovely book to read. Norton sounds a true delight and has got Peter Gethers wrapped round his little paws. Loved it!

A good book even if the ending is sad a very moving book showing the true meaning of love a also showing the kind of close link that man & woman can have with an animal

Got all the other books, enjoyed the first book very much and looking forward to ready all the rest. It is a book I couldn't put down.
