This tool means I can change my Kronaby Watch battery myself, tool is sturdy, easy to use and reasonably priced.

A handy watch clamp and back opening device.It took some practice but once mastered, all worked as advertised. If the watch strap is opened first, life is much easier!

I bought a fossil ladies watch last year. The battery lasted just 7 months. I took it to the jewellers I bought it from to get the battery replaced but they didn't have anyone who could do it, so I went to Timpsons. They said it was a specialist battery & would cost£35 to replace it. I went ahead & paid. That battery lasted approx 6 months. Not willing to pay that much again (I estimated that replacing the battery 4 times would cost as much as buying a new watch). So I put it in a drawer & forgot about it. Then a friend told me you could get a tool to replace it yourself. The tool arrived yesterday, I have removed the back, ordered a genuine replacement battery (2 pk cost £1.54 + postage) Should arrive tomorrow. Job done. Saved a fortune. I have only awarded 4 stars because the tool doesn't come with any instructions so you have to work it out for yourself.

Although a very useful tool and fairly easy to use, it would have been better to have the instructions with it. I know that there were some instructions on the order site but this is not any use if you are not on-line & cannot find the original order site (if still available). A small slip of paper with the instructions would be much easier. However, it seems to work for various size watches, both screw-back & 'pop up' backs. The holder keeps the watch fairly secure whilst you remove the back to replace the battery. The actual case opener (for screw on backs) is easy to adjust & works fine. The package comes with two pin removers & a selection of spare pins for watch straps ( I actually had 10 included). A small pair of tweezers would have been an advantage but otherwise a great useful tool.

Very easy to use and very useful

Unfortunately this watch case opener was not compatible with any of my wrist watches. I did return this item and received a full refund. I found a more suitable watch case opener set on the Amazon website which I am very satisfied, very highly delighted with. This is the reason for the three stars. Many thanks. Roy Hilton

What a brilliant and simple kit. Products seem sturdy and well made and took very little effort, or time, to use. I was able to remove the screw back from my Omega watch and replace the battery with ease - and saved lot's of money by not having to go to a dealer. Excellent value.
