Contigo AUTOSEAL West Loop Vaccuum-Insulated Stainless Steel Travel Mug, 16 oz, Watermelon

I was so hopeful after reading the other reviews, and this cup met all expectations beautifully! I was unhappy with every travel mug for one reason or another, so I was being really picky in buying a new one. This mug is (so far) everything I've needed it to be! First of all, there is NO danger of leaking. There is a lock, but even without that I throw it in my bag, and have had zero issues. It keeps your beverage plenty hot as well. It's still warm by lunch. I like my coffee very borderline burn-your-tongue hot, this is the only mug that keeps it that hot before I get to work (so when I get there, it's still very very hot). BUT your hand will not be able to tell that it's that hot at all--the outside stays a very reasonable temperature--no issues there. I totally dropped it the other day full of coffee onto a hardwood floor--found out the mug is quite durable as well (and no leaking coffee!). The lid is easy to clean as well. I'm a nurse and I don't want to be having to touch anything near where my mouth goes to drink my coffee at work--this mug solves that problem amazingly. I also needed it to fit under the single-serve coffee brewer we have. I think the 20 oz would have fit with the bottom out, but this one fits perfectly with the coffeemaker intact. Most other travel mugs that fit do not hold enough coffee! I cannot say enough about it--I'd recommend it to anyone!

This is, hands down, the greatest travel mug I have ever owned. I have had it almost a year now and I have zero complaints. I tell everyone I know to get one and have gotten them as gifts for family and friends.I am a sipper. I like to drag out one cup of coffee or tea as long as I can, but as soon as it loses any heat, down the drain it goes. It is no exaggeration that this cup keeps my beverage hot for HOURS. I work in a bank and sometimes my morning coffee gets abandoned for an hour or two at a time depending on how busy I am. Yet when I finally remember it, it is still as hot as if I just made it.Some people reported leaking issues. I've discovered that filling the mug up too high can cause this. I usually keep it a good 1/2 inch below the threading and I avoid all leaks. Another tip is to press the button to open the mouth piece BEFORE tilting the mug for a sip. This help release any pressure built up and you avoid your beverage spraying in your face. I love that I can just fill up this mug and toss it in my bag; never once have I had it leakMy mug is starting to show a little wear and tear, most because I shove it into my car's cup hold even though it doesn't really fit. I also dented the bottom a little bit because I shake my coffee to mix it and one time I just ended up throwing it across the room, by accident of course. But through it all, the mug has held up through all the abuse I've put it through.Moral of the story: EXCELLENT mug, HIGHLY recommend.

This mug is my favorite! I am clumsy and don't allow open containers near electronics. So, at my desk, at work, I need a good container, so when I spill it, nothing gets ruined. I had been using a bike bottle for years, but if you forget to push the top in, it does spill. It also began to leak out the sides when tipped. I decided to try this because it advertises as leak proof. Well....it works great! A drop might come out from where I took the sip, but nothing else comes out. It is well sealed. I use it mainly for water, but I have tried using it for smoothies and it does keep them warm or cold, depending on the type you are making. The sipping part isn't so constricted so you are able to take big or small sips depending on how thirsty you are. So all around, I consider this a huge score!

I'm a big fan of Contigo travel mugs and have owned several. They are the best when it comes to insulating and preventing spills. The biggest issue (now fixed) was always cleaning the lid thoroughly enough - but this newest version has remedied that, now that the inside of the lid pops open for easier cleaning. This one works as well as always when it comes to keeping my coffee hot (or cold, when I make iced coffee in warmer weather) and no issues with spilling.The body is wider than my previous one, so it doesn't fit as well in my cupholder (it's a bit tight). But it works. My only (minor) disappointment was that the "watermelon" color I ordered is now a deeper shade and basically looks red, rather than the pink pictured (my old one was also "watermelon" and looks exactly like the color pictured). The "Autoseal" button is definitely bright red and not as pictured. This is just cosmetic though. Overall highly recommend.

I have bought many coffee mugs/cups from multiple stores (Starbucks, Target, BJs, Walmart, TJ Maxx, Marshalls, etc). This does keep liquids cold or hot/warm for hours. Another positive, you can place your coffee or tea in the container, close, and place in your work bag. It does not leak if tipped on side. Often I place my drink in the morning and get into the car an hour later to find my drink is still hot. 4 hours later at a meeting, it is still warm. A must have! For cleaning it is best to wash by hand but the top can be placed in the dishwasher. To remove coffee & tea stains, place a little baking soda and water solution, fill with water to top, let soak, wash, rinse, and dry. Very easy to clean. It is better to use Dawn to wash the top (or baking soda) and an old toothbush (to avoid soap flavors or aroma from top). I would plan to purchase another.

This is the best travel mug I have ever bought, and I’ve bought many, even other Contigo ones. It will only leak if you over fill it, don’t use the lock button, don’t keep it reasonably clean and some build up gathers around the outside rim/rings or leave a few drops in the drink hole. I’ve never had one peel until I started putting the actual cup in the dishwasher, which they specifically tell you not to do, it was an old cup. I do put the lid in the dishwasher every week. I also bought a brush kit and they are perfect for cleaning the cup and lid. It keeps beverages hot or cold just like they say it does. Since I bought one of these I’ve never bought another brand or style. I replace it about every 2 years if I didn’t lose it before that as daily use everywhere will cause some scratches.

I drink a lot of tea from this thermo cup, I absolutely love it! I’m impressed at how long it keeps hot drinks hot. With the easy mechanism of pressing the button on the cover to sip and the click to lock and keep it from spilling. It’s easy to clean and overall just a nice sturdy product, I’ve had it for a few years now and its still going strong, have used it on a half marathon and it was the best keeping my drink hot and was a way to keep warm in the cold windy weather. Necesitaba un termo nuevo y gracias a los comentarios me decidí por este. Lo más importante para mí era la calidad del material en cuanto a salud y que no derramara café. Este termo sobresale en ambos. Es de acero inoxidable y las partes plásticas no tienen BPA, con lo cual estoy conforme. Y lo que me sorprende gratamente es que lo puedes voltear y no derrama ni una gota. Además tiene un seguro en la parte de arriba para evitar que se aplaste por accidente el botón para beber.En cuanto al mantenimiento de la temperatura del café, también es el mejor termo que he tenido. Sin embargo, no sé exactamente si dure tanto como dice en la descripción, obviamente también depende de las condiciones en las que se probó, pero en mi caso me parece que la temperatura se mantiene bien el calor por unas 3 horas y ciertamente es aceptable hasta las 5.
