Works the way I wanted it to. I wanted to be able to carry my GoPro Hero 5 around my neck like a traditional camera. I took it on vacation to Florida. Wore it while bobbing around in the ocean and on a boat tour in the Everglades N.P. I threaded the small loop of string through the end of the threaded bar that goes through the mounting point of the GoPro and tightens against the horseshoe shaped metal piece. My thought was that I wouldn’t accidentally drop the metal piece when I take it off. I kept checking to make sure it was tight during the trip and it did not come loose and shows no issues after being in salt water several times. The horseshoe shaped piece did appear to be slightly bent when I received it, but did not affect its use. The strap seems a little light and cheap feeling. The strap seems to be holding up well, was comfortable around my neck and dried quickly when wet. I like the idea of this strap as opposed to the new silicone sleeve that GoPro is selling because this way the factory attachment housing is still there. I can detach the strap and immediately use it to attach to the other GoPro brackets and harnesses.

This lanyard rates at the top for its overall quality and versatility with the various hookups. I needed a solution for my cell phone which was always turning on or pushing buttons in my pocket. I also have a slight hearing problem which I didn't always hear the phone because of the distance. This lanyard solved the problem. The newer cell phones don't have a slot for the cord, so I purchased a case, only $5, which had the slot. Problem solved. Works great, no misdials and I can hear it. I couldn't find a lanyard that would work until I saw this one. Great product would buy again

Swings a lot on my neck but stays connected to the GoPro. Can’t film with it but it is a good way to hold when not in use.

Strong strap and heavy duty attachment. I would recommend this as a must have when traveling. Not another one of those cheap lanyards with plastic attachments.

I strapped my camera to this when I went to Mexico it was a very convenient handy little tool.

Glad I purchased this item. Used with my GoPro 5 at Disneyland and other amusement parks. Easy to use. I would recommend this product for GoPro uses.
