Works Great So Far
05/26/2025: Giving my initial review of the Roborock Saros 10r and will update. In my home we have medium pile carpet, hardwood and tile floors as well as rugs across two levels. This includes thresholds of varying heights... some tall enough to really stub your toe.FYI: The package does not include the floor cleaning solution, so you will need to purchase that separately for the purposes of mopping. My Roborock Saros 10r arrived on 05/21/2025, so at this point I've had it 5 days and my intent is to really put this through its paces while I'm still able to return it.Packaging from Amazon & Roborock was great and it arrived in pristine condition.Device setup was easy and the instructions were clear enough that I had no issues. One thing I would highly suggest during setup, since this device must be connected to wifi, put it on either a different wifi network (I have an IoT network that can't connect to devices on my "normal" network with laptops/computers/phones/tablets) or if your router doesn't support that it may have a "Guest" network you can add it to. No matter how much or how little you pay for your Smart Home/IoT devices just keep in mind that they can become threats to your devices, their security and your privacy if that device or company becomes compromised. This is a small bit of protection, but worth it.Speaking of privacy, this device has a built-in voice assistant. I have not activated it and have no intent to do so. Since it was not activated, my understanding is that this prevents it from listening at all. Additionally this device uses cameras to help navigate obstacles in addition to lidar. Not much you can do about this, but there is a feature where you can enable the camera remotely and drive the Saros 10r around your home to view things. I have not enabled this or used this feature. My understanding with this feature is that if you don’t enable it then the potential for that feature to be exploited (someone else looking through the camera) is greatly reduced. The account set up in the app was simple, just make sure you use a strong password that is unique (not used by any of your other accounts). The app works well, but settings can be difficult to find. Take time to really explore all of the settings in the app so you get the experience you’re looking for. Out of the box the Saros 10r announces very loudly when it’s cleaning, when it’s returning to charge, etc. The setting to turn the volume down is in the app under Settings > Voice Assistant > Volume. The initial mapping of the main floor of my home was quick and accurate. It identified surfaces accurately as well as the stairs leading to the basement. You can really customize the cleaning behavior in the app, so I wanted max suction for the vacuuming and I wanted it to leave the mopping pads behind and only mop after vacuuming. It navigated the main floor without issue, returned to empty the dust bin as needed and when it was done vacuuming it returned to the base, picked up the mop pads and proceeded to mop the tile and hardwood floors. During the mopping I have it set to return to the base every 15 minutes to clean the mop pads.I was very happy with the job it did with both vacuuming and mopping. Additionally the brush design works great with hair, well human hair at least. We don’t have pets. There are several women with extremely long hair that was a challenge for my Neato Botvac D3 and Roomba J7+ with the brush rollers getting tangled with hair. I’m happy to say that after multiple runs the Saros 10r brushes had zero hair in them. Also, the extending arm for cleaning in corners and along walls seems to work great as well. The mopping was impressive. One of the mop pads extends out to get close to walls and corners which is a nice touch. You can also set many options for mopping in the app such as how much water is used and detecting areas that might need some extra attention. Again, really explore the app to customize the experience you want. The water reservoirs for clean and dirty water are easy to remove, fill and empty. My next test, cleaning on a separate floor of my home. This was easy enough, I was able to move just the robot to the basement. I created a separate map for the basement. There are several high thresholds here and the Saros 10r was able to navigate over them with ease. I didn’t try mopping since I feel like I would need to move the base downstairs to get the best experience. I may do this at some point, but not today. My take away, the Saros 10r is absolutely capable of easily vacuuming at least two floors. The base station seems quite capable, it’s able to empty the dustbin and it’s not too loud. The mop pad washing, cleaning and drying works quite well so far.Overall I’m pleased so far and at this price point… anyone who purchases this should be.I’ve experienced no issues and the device has received two firmware updates.I fully intend to continue heavily using the Saros 10r during my return window and will update this review if I encounter issues.Consumable and replaceable parts are also on my radar. The robot seems to be fairly serviceable and I hope that being able to purchase those parts will be affordable in the future, especially batteries. The base station however I'm not sure about.

nearly perfect
ditched my Robo rock Q Revo for this after the previous robots LiDAR sensor broke. this robot does come at a premium price, however, where my old robot used to get stuck on loose cords, and any piece of clothing left on the ground (which would happen daily and I get the notification as soon as I got to work so the floor wouldn’t be clean) the only time this robot has gotten stuck is in a very dark room on a surface with dark floors, and it lightly picked up a black sock.Charging speed is very good on this device. my house is about 2700 ft.² and I clean the house every single day with this robot. It goes through a vacuum and mop cycle together. It will get about 3/4 of the way through the house pause to go charge and then immediately pick up where I left off and be done with battery to spare.Wi-Fi set up was a little finicky (I do not understand for the life of me. Why in 2025 devices have to have their own Wi-Fi module to connect to in your settings before they can connect to your house’s Wi-Fi) but as soon as we figured out what the error was, it paired up very easily.I believe that my favorite feature on this robot has to be the new brush brushes that Robo rock designed. Instead of having one bar that rolls back-and-forth and will get destroyed by just the littlest bit of hair getting tangled. This robot has the dual brush brushes that force the hair in to the robot itself.I usually schedule maintenance for all my electronics on Sundays when I’m off and where my old robot I used to have to clean the dustbin quite often and remove all the hair that the robot failed to push out, this robot in the last month has had no hair tangled and has picked up pretty much everything on the floor and sucked it up to it’s bag.One drawback to this robot is that the clean water tank does not hold as much as my previous one so I do find that I have to fill it up every two or two days however your mileage may vary depending on the size of your house and how much liquid you are allowing the robot to use. We deep clean with the mop setting every single day so changing it would probably conserve more water..Overall, I’m going to say that this robot is nearly perfect. Again, I recognize that the price of $1500 is a lot to spend but the benefit of spending money on a quality product means that it should last you for years.Robo rock absolutely hit it out of the park with this model
