Could use better labeling / docs
It took some googling to figure out how to wire these up. The water proof casing makes the board impossible to read. Not only are the wire colors fairly arbitrary, but they don't agree with other sources I found online. The adafruit guide was the best resource that I found.a) the line connected to the chip is the 'input side'. The other side with the receptacle is the output side.b) there's a 3 strand connector (blue white and green) and two loose wires (blue and red). I guessed (correctly) that the pair was for power and red being positive left blue as ground.c) These (https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B01IBFNP7K/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1) work well for supplying the power to the input side (and for tying up the output power end as well. don't want those dangling loose and trimming them makes it harder to connect another strand if you ever go that way) -d) don't forget to get a 5v power supply. You're not running these off of your rasperry pi GPIO or arduino 5v pin. With all that said, once I got it wired up, they looked great even in a lit room.

Very impressed
Excellent LEDs. Work very well with the Raspberry Pi 3 without a need for logic level mod, ie 3.3v signal drives them ok. They are very bright.

Works well with RaspberryPi
I created a wordclock using two of these strings and a RaspberryPi. Works wonderfully with flexible installation options. Be sure to connect the ground wire to your RaspberryPi, or the behavior may be unpredictable.

Works well. Only problem is lack of directional arrow on part to dertmine the input side. For this reason I give it 4 stars.
