Early into it but impressed
I have dabbled with various swing sensors that I've used at the range but never used something like this that tracks actual gameplay. A buddy had a garmin watch which he showed me that does some similar stuff. After comparing watches to this system, I decided to try the Arccos and pair with my Apple Watch.Installation and pairing went smoothly and I was done in about 10 minutes. I played my first round yesterday and the app easily found and downloaded the course I was on. I started the round on the first tee as the instructions said and I was off. The GPS function worked flawlessly. We compared the numbers to others using 18birdies and watches as well as laser rangefinders (I have one of those as well). The front/middle/back distances were spot on and the ability to zoom in and get distances to the pin was very nice (assuming you could see the specific location of the pin). I will say that while this helped, I still used my laser range finder to get more precise. Combining the two was actually awesome. In cases where the pin was near the back, I was able to use the specific distances from my range finder and then use the Arccos GPS to tell me how far to the back so I could determine which club to use. The place we played has massive greens so it does matter. Sometimes 2-3 club differences.Shot tracking itself was a blast. I know how far I hit stuff on the range but this brings real life play into perspective. First, other than 1 shot that did not register, it picked up all shots including putts. As long as you address the ball for tap ins, it will register. I was mostly hitting 3 wood off the tees and was playing with guys that looked to be bombing their drivers. Yet, I was keeping up with them with my 3 wood. I was getting distances of 260 to 290 yards with my 3 wood. Having these types of shot distances actually helps you understand ball flight a little better in my opinion. My 3 woods were high boring shots vs the other guys in my group that were hitting lower shots with their drivers. Over time, when you are looking at distances for clubs, especially your woods, I think your ball flight will start to show where some issues are coming from. Maybe help you select a different shaft or loft to alter your ball flight. maybe..we shall see.The scoring worked well and I only had to make one adjustment for the missed shot. The app is easy to use to go in and edit stuff like missed shots, putts or penalty strokes. and if you need to edit an actual location of a shot you can do that as well. It is very easy to use..After the round I started digesting the numbers and stats. Most of my irons look to be in the range of what I believe I hit them but it is still early. The greens in regulation and fairways hit, etc...will be more telling over time. I will say that missed fairway locations was not surprise to me.I have 4 more rounds to go to unlock the caddie feature. this will supposedly give me advice on what club to hit as well as other course related info. looking forward to that. For now, this has been a great training aid and I actually shot the lowest round in over 5 years. I have to give this credit because it did make me think before making stupid mistakes. For the record, I used to be a much better golfer with a handicap as low as 6 but now I am lucky if I break 90 (bad shoulder and 2 kids will do that to you!). Last year I only got out 5 times and all of my rounds were between 87 and 89. Consistent but way off what I remember from "back in the day". Yesterday I shot an 83 on a difficult course and that was with taking 2 penalty drops to avoid hitting out of really thick rough. I was quite pleased.

Purchased in May with 30+ rounds played with Arccos
I got exactly what I wanted out of this product. It does exactly what it says it does, but I am going to list the few problems that I have had.1. Sensors are solar powered. I had a round where I played the last 2 holes during dusk/darkness and the sensors stopped working completely. This was only an issue this one time and it was very dark so I am not too upset about it.2. Some shots aren't detected and can mess up your round if you don't catch it. I have noticed that bunker shots, flop shots, punch shots under trees, shots taken near the previous shot, etc. sometimes aren't picked up. This is fine because it isn't hard to manually add a shot, but it can be annoying if you don't notice it right away and have to go back and fix it. This issue causes me to constantly check the app, usually at the end of every hole.3. The shape/size of some greens are incorrect. I am not sure how to fix this, but at my local course the 4th hole is a par 4 where the green is a solid 20-30 feet smaller than what the app says. This sucks because the app will tell me the distance to the front of the green is 100 yards, but in reality it will be closer to about 110 yards.4. Putting is easily the most buggy part of the system. I will have a few putts each round that aren't registered, but again it is easy to manually add them and even adjust where you putted from the green and where the pin was located. Some Issues I want to acknowledge that I see others complain about:Phone has to be in the front left pocket-This was a major concern I had before purchasing this product. I never play with anything other than tees in my pockets as I find large objects intrusive during my round. I have an iPhone 6s and I just take the case off and play with it in my pocket. This may be an issue with larger phones, but I hardly notice it at all and it certainly has no negative impacts to my round.Phone dying during round-My phone has not died once this year during a round. However, it will eat up a solid 70-80% of battery life during the longer 4.5-5 hr rounds. I would highly recommend being in battery saver mode and limiting phone use outside of the app during the round. This being said, I play with an older iPhone model and I can't imagine the newer models having this issue. The only reason I would tell somebody not to get this product would be if they aren't tech-savvy and don't want to be on their phone during their round. The first round I played with Arccos was spent almost entirely on my phone trying to figure everything out. The learning curve could be steep for people who aren't very familiar with technology, but I can't imagine anyone near my age (25) having issues figuring it out.My game has greatly improved since purchasing this product. I would say it took off a solid 3-5 strokes and I am expecting it to do the same next year because I am working on improving the parts of my game that the app tells me too. This is a must buy for the tech-savvy stat nerd. I expect to have and use a product like this every time I golf.

Very good system but too distracting while playing
After several rounds I found that this system to be too distracting, so it was affecting my golf rounds. Maybe I could wait to get home to review each hole, but by then I've forgotten most hole details like pin position. So I have been checking after every hole while playing. For instance, setting the actual pin position and first putt position is really only feasible while on the course right after the hole.I found that I was so busy tweaking each hole in the app so that I lost any "groove" I may have had while playing. Yesterday I decided to stop paying attention to the app and green positions -- and my game noticeably improved immediately. The sensors do a good job of recording strokes (phone in left front pocket with screen against my leg, as Arccos told me when I called for advice). Sometimes a false stroke is recorded, seemingly if I bump a club while it's upright (sensors work only when club is upright). One fault - putts from off the green fringe or near fringe are counted as putts (they're not -- this is equivalent to a short pitch shot onto the green). So I spend far too much time editing shots on and around the green. In today's "hurry up" golf game, this is distracting to me and to my fellow players -- as they've told me.For now the Arccos sensors are coming off my clubs to be replaced by the GameGolf sensors I had been using. The GameGolf sensors are tactile -- I know exactly when a shot is being recorded. No false shots. On the green GameGolf seems much less accurate, but basically I'm just counting putts. Arccos counts first putt distance, but then just total putts. This must be to help with calculating chipping accuracy.

easy to setup
I had used Gen 1 sensors and purchased these sensors with understanding that these will be better. But am sorry to say they have issue that is the app stops mid way through the game and asks to restart the game which is very annoying. I have yet to play one round of 18 holes were i did not experience any issue. Watch is another problem, when i tried to use watch for shot detetction Iphone series 3 battery did not last for 18 holes..... Waiting for caddie links, maybe it has better GPS than Iphone.

My husband loved
My husband loved and kept him busy for a few weeks during summer, I love how happy he was to show me his performance during the day

Love these sensors and app
The screw in sensors are fantastic. The free app that the sensor pair to is laid out logically. Having all your stats at your fingertips is a game changer. Once you played 5 full rounds the app opens up and becomes a personal caddy suggesting the club you should use - it gets more accurate with more rounds (data). What more could you want!

Pretty good, your gonna edit/add shots regardless, sometimes it doesn't register then hit, but its a pretty cool system.
