Get a Hub Adapter rear sprocket and spring chain tensioner: TRUST ME!
The media could not be loaded. This kit comes with almost everything you need to start this journey to a new level of cycling. The only additional things I would recommend is one of those aftermarket hub adapters for the chain sprocket as well as a spring chain tensioner. When I first tried to start this kit with the stock chain tensioner, the tensioner turned into the rear rim and destroyed it (hence the now mismatched rim on the rear of my bike). Because of my choice of bike (Huffy Nel Lusso), in order to get the coaster brake to work along with the sprocket I had to remove the dust cover behind the coaster brake arm and run a smaller width tire. I chose 1.75in wide tires, but I’m pretty sure you’d get enough clearance with a 1.95in. I would also recommend buying better fuel line, or at least hose clamps for the hose that comes with the kit. After fixing the initial issue from the stock chain tensioner, this engine started up and ran just fine. For the first couple gallons you will want to run 7oz of 2 cycle oil with 1 gallon of 87 octane fuel. After running through the first two or three gallons, you can go down to 4-5oz of 2 cycle oil with 1 gallon of fuel. Other than that, this engine kit runs strong, and it’s pretty quick considering I am a heavy-set guy.

Worth the small price to pay for practically unlimited awesome!
So far this thing has impressed me. It has way more power on demand, seemingly effortless.I have purchased other engine kits similar to this one and I can say for sure that this one outpaces at least five of its own competitors on Amazon. Yes a lot of these engines look the same as the next one over but one important factor, this engine kit doesn't look like junk in the Box before you take it out. You can tell that care has been taken just by inspecting it.-parts are actually separated by individual bags!A lot less confusion is involved putting this together versus other kit sellers, who basically just dumped Parts into a box. (yeah we all know who I'm talking about but I'm not going to say it.)-The hex bolts alone are a great improvement over other kits. -I chose a 36 tooth gear. that in itself was an excellent choice. This seller has this as an option, which is another bonus.-The gaskets on the engine itself look like a very decent quality gasket.Lastly, the assembly for the gear on the wheel itself was impressive On its own. Instead of three pieces that go inside the wheel, there's basically just two pieces, almost exact halves. That seems a better clamp than 3 metal parts inside there. The bolts themselves didn't feel like they were going to snap during assembly.** update!Just bought my second engine from this very seller. The first engine is so awesome that I had to put it on a three wheeled bike.Got a second engine for the reverse three wheeled bike or just another two wheeled Cruiser!Don't waste your time on those other weird knock off engines!Buy this one!

Buyer beware of birddog distribution!!!!!
I recently decided to start my 5th motorized bike build so I brought this engine having heard allot of good things about zeda engines and mounts so i was very excited to get it mounted and on the road but to my dismay it would turn over so i checked to make sure i had a good spark then decided it had to be carb so i switched carb with one that i knew worked so i peddled and peddled to no avail then i checked for air leaks and couldn't find none so i pulled head off to check gasket and tourqe it properly and there were metal shavings so i figured i had a defected engine. I never returned anything i brought online because i figured they would charge me shipping and blame it on me so i was gonna take it on the chin so u started to work on it step one Google it and other people had issues with other companies and they replaced it so i decided to email birddog and got no response so i put a ngk plug in and it finally started but it was making pinging noise and had no power under load so i pulled head off again to see if anything was loose or bad bearings and there is more shavings and tiny play in piston like it's mm smaller then cylinder. So i emailed birddog again and received a generic response to call so i did and spoke to customer service and told him what was happening and he said i may have voided warranty by taking head off then told me to take pictures i asked with head off and he said yes...lol ...i asked him what we'll happen if i take pictures and he said his tech will figure the problem and find what parts are defective(from a cheap cell phone camera) then send them so i have to waste more of my time fixing something that might not be problem (if warranty isn't voided) . i finally figured that i was beat and told him that i will order another zeda from a more respectable company. Im not blaming zeda anyone can get a lemon it's the company's responsibility to make it right so i just parts engine for full price plus i have a new piston and carb on way thanksEdit:I brought a new cylinder and piston and its working really good now so moral of story is ...great engine.... terrible place to buy it

One gripe but good engine
I took off the top end head checked the piston for direction of the pins everything was good. There were some metal fragments though be aware of that. The engine had a Zeda crank and a balanced crank as well. The only gripe I have with this engine is that the wires from the engine are pretty short and I had to move my CDI pretty low to reach them causing lots of tension on the wires. Hopefully this won’t destroy an already good wire set up or engine also the gaskets both intake and exhaust leak and break easily.Update:I have atleast 100 miles on the engine. All I did was run castor 927 in it and drove it new like I stole it. No break in period. Just had at 32:1 and full throttle. So far, its running well. I recommend castor oil since it’s an air cooled engine that runs full throttle most of the time. But
