Had one broken ball latch on a bathroom door.Only had to replace the ball piece. The old catch still worked. Took about 2 minutes. Works perfectly. Now I have an extra in the event another breaks.

These are not magnetic as some have mentioned. They are the standard ball and spring to divot in the strike plate. My biggest gripe was the screws that come with it, they are probably only about 1/2” long if that and very small to match the countersink in the plates. I had to find alternate screws so it was securely attached. The other thing that wasn’t a deal breaker but annoying was the barrel of the spring mechanism is loose in the mounting plate. Others I tried required a tool to adjust and probably hold the adjustment better. These turn easily, so I’ll probably apply a dot of blue loctite once I dial it in so it stays. Otherwise a really great price for eight pieces! The spring mechanism is real smooth too. Good luck!👍

Picked these up to replace the broken ones in my doors.easy install and love the stiffness of the springs.

Best thing ever works amazing and I had uneven doors and you are able to twist these up or down to make different sizes if you need and my doors are final closed

I installed these today. I drilled a 3/4 inch hole straight down in the top of the door. about 2/3 inch deep. I didn't carve out where the plates attach, but it still looks pretty good. Close and open the door a few times it leaves a mark on the door jam so you know where to install the strike plate.After installing the ball and spring in the door I drilled the hole in the door jam using the 3/4 inch bit and wiggled it to the left and right to get it ablong. All this might sound messy, but it gets covered by the strike plate.So far, they are working great. And they are easily adjustable up and down by turning the ball and spring housing. Great for keeping double doors closed but not locked.
