Suisaku Magnetic Glass Thermometer L (L)

I purchased two of these thermometers for my two smaller aquariums (6 and 8 gal) to replace the sticky stripe thermometers which were were inaccurate. This thermometer is small, easy to read, magnet does not leave and mark of residue on the glass - comparing with suction types. The only con is that the magnet is quite week. With small fish like Betta it is good size, but when I used it in my 29 gal aquarium larger fish like sword-tales and mollies every day knocked It off from original location, sometimes I had to crawl under in search for the tiny magnet that fell on the floor. I wish the magnet was stronger.

An accurate thermometer, but the magnet barely holds mine in place with ~1/4" glass (standard 75-gallon tank). Getting bumped by a snail is all it takes to break free.

Looks very nice, real sleek. I dont mind having to read Celcius, but it seems like mine reads ~10 degrees F (5 degrees C) off. Tested against a digital probe thermometer for other applications.Update: changed from 3 to 5 stars, oddly enough after a week of being in the water (and purchasing another thermometer), this one seems to be reading more accurately. No idea why it was so off before, but it now reacts and reads accurate to both my new thermometer and a digital probe.

I was looking for a long lasting thermometer. The previous one (different manufacturer) lasted for a few years but one day the end was found broken. This one was found broken in the aquarium after a month when I was looking to check the temperature. Picture attach shows the end broken. Very disappointed.

Yes, don't forget it is in C. Which should not be a problem once you know the normal t in C.I have 55 g and the magnet works fine with the width of the glass. I guess if you go bigger the magnet is not very strong and you might need to buy a stronger magnet for the outside.

Use only on peaceful smaller tanks because fish will easy bump it off magnet is very weak. It's long rather than wide, I can read the numbers but have a hard time seeing the red indicator line. I ordered 2 and had to send 1 back because accuracy was way off. They quickly sent a replacement. I wouldn't order them again but they are inexpensive and if its just to get an idea about temp and want something different than the usual looking thermometer...

High quality and accurate thermometer, very strong magnet. I've been using this for almost a month. The product is worth the money.

I compared the temperature this thermometer was showing with my laboratory grade thermometer and they were only about 1 degree apart - very accurate for an aquarium thermometer. It's a great quick reference and I can easily move it to different depths if I need to look at the temp gradient.

I ordered 2 and when I put them in both of my tanks I realized that one doesn’t work. I’m quite disappointed because besides the one not reading temperature they look great in my tanks...

Not very obstructive to your aquarium, looks good, not bhed.

吸盤タイプだとどうしても経年劣化によりガラスに吸着しなくなりますが、これなら大丈夫フレーム水槽でガラスが薄めだからか磁石の力は問題ありません文句無しの★5……にしようと思ったのですが、唯一残念だったのがLサイズのボディのデカさの割に視認性があまり良くないもうちょっと何とかなりそうな気がするのだが…

The thermometer looks great in a tank. I didn’t last though as I tapped it when cleaning the tank and it snapped and spilt the liquid into the tank. It was my fault but I wouldn’t purchase another one as it broke easily.
