I spent a whole, long day climbing ladders to replace an existing, lower resolution (Q-see) unit for this Sansco eight camera system.Once installed, I realized that I am able to view all eight cameras in live mode (and they all look quite good) but I can only record four channels. There seems to be no setting to correct this and their product support has not been responsive.I will update this review to reflect a resolution of this issue or my return of this product. Either way, it has cost me a lot of time and headache.UPDATE: (Up to 2 stars from 1 star)The company did get back to me and let me know where the setting is to record and review all 8 channels. However it will only record 8 channels at 1080 N - not 1080 P as was posted by a company representative in response to a question I made prior to purchase. It will only record 4 channels at 1080 P resolution.I also have privacy worries about the XMeye app that is needed to remotely access the cameras. It will not run unless you give it permission to access your phone, storage and photos. If I can not find a less intrusive way to get remote access, I will box the whole thing up and return it.

Buy with confidence.When shopping for a security system, make sure the DVR is compatible with the highest resolution, or close to the highest resolution, CCTV cameras on the market. This DVR is, and I haven't had any problems with it. However, The DVR system I received was NOT equipped with the 1TB HD it was advertised as coming with. I double-checked the order form and receipt and verified that I did purchase and pay for the 1TB option. Because I needed to install it that night because my car was broken in to twice in the past five days before I decided to order it, I wanted it in ASAP. Therefore, I purchased a $50 1TB hard drive, installed it, and it has worked fine ever since. CCTV systems are pretty affordable these days, so they can basically be upgraded; however, The hard part is not getting these cameras and DVR to work together, the hard part is doing the wiring and planning how to get the wires from the cameras to the devices cleanly and practically. Therefore, get a system that has the highest quality camera wires you can find because once you run them, you'll never want to run them again. So far, I haven't had any trouble with these cables. I might upgrade to 1080P cameras soon, so I wonder how the wires will do.

Excellent CCTV system at a good price. Night vision is very good which was one of the main features I was wanting. Remote monitoring is also great. Easy to set up. I removed 1 Star because of the BNC cables which is apparently not very reliable. If you suddenly lose feed from any cameras check the BNC cables they are most likely the culprit. I had the feed from 2 camera go down and thought it was defective cameras and only discovered the BNC cables to be at fault after much troubleshooting. I replaced the defective BNC cables with video Baluns BNC to RJ45 and that solved my issue and even seemed to improve the video quality. During my issue I reached out to Sansco and they gave some good help. I do love this product.

This is a great securit system. Very simple set up. Only issue i am having is when reviewing if you try to playback all 4 cameras they do not line up with the time and there is no indicator of movement. Great item for piece of mind. I would recommend if you cannot have wireless like myself.

I ran cameras all over my house and the picture quality was way better than I would of imagined for those price, it’s crystal clear and with the night vision. Super easy to set up. Not sure about the app I haven’t tried downloading it.

I bought this because we had trouble with our neighbors. It works amazing and very easy to learn.
