I was skeptical when ordering these because of the quality of other magnets being sold on amazon. I must say, I was pleasantly and painfully surprised. These things are FREAKIN’ STRONG! While testing them with my gun I was not expecting the strength of the pull and the magnet came out of my left hand, smacking into my right thumb, as it went for my slide. Although in some pain, I was more than satisfied that these would hold my gun in place while driving. I have a truck and routinely drive off-road and beat-to-hell roads. My gun does not move at all.

When I first searched on Amazon for a gun magnet Keeper seemed like a good choice. Unfortunately Keeper's gun magnet wasn't very strong and it was small. I had it installed in my jeep and the slightest bump would send my 9 flying off. I decided I'd take a look and see if I'd find something more suitable for my needs.The sabersouth magnet hit all the necessary criteria. It was a great deal compared to the rest and according to the specs it was stronger and a little bigger than keepers. Oh, and it included 2 for the price of one! I now have the sabersouth magnet installed in my jeep and one in my closet. These things a freaking strong! One magnet held my loaded shotgun in my closet no problems. On top of that I could now take my jeep off road with my gun attached. Nothing was able to shake my handgun loose from the magnet.I believe the included 3m tape is more for helping you install the magnet with screws. I wouldn't mount my guns on something that isn't screwed in.Great deal. Solid product. Happy with my decision.

These are without a doubt the best gun magnets I have purchased. They easily hold my SIG P320 even with a 21 round magazine without a problem. I did not want to drill holes in my furniture or in my vehicle so I purchased heavy duty industrial Velcro that will hold up to 15 pounds. It works great on wood such as a nightstand or desk. The Velcro did not work in my car so I am still looking for a solution. I will probably purchase more when I decide where I want to mount them.

These are very strong magnets. May not be as strong as advertised. I was able to pick up about 30lbs of workout plates before 1 magnet dropped them. I didn't try both magnets. Maybe together they are rated 40lbs? Metal type affects the bond as well. Easily held my glock19. Could almost rack the slide. Holds glock mags well enough. Nice to a plastic cover that doesn't scratch up finishes. Only real negative is the plastic cover came off of both magents. They are just glued together. If you use the screw to mount then they won't come off as the screws would hold them down. I used the 3m tape to mount in my trucks armrest to store a couple of mags. So far so good there.

Purchased to hold a S&W M&P shield in a few different vehicles (ATV and Truck). Works well without any shifting/sliding, etc of the pistol despite the bouncing terrain. Used with a full sized/loaded pistol, Sig P226, there was a little sliding but not enough to jar the pistol lose.Recommendations: Comes with screws but didn't want to screw into the console of my vehicle. I used VHB tape (purchased separately) to attach the magnet to the vehicle. The included tape help well for the smooth surface of the ATV but peeled after a few days on the 'bumpy' surface of the flow-thru console of my F150. So far the new tape has held up but only the southern summer heat will let me know for sure how it adheres (This is more for mounting thoughts and does not reflect on the magnet)... on a side, and possibly unrelated, note: I always grin when I see something is : "Military Grade" Anyone who has ever served in the military is less than impressed with this declaration. BUT these magnets worked for me.

These mounts are good to go and you'll receive 2 with your order. I am using one laying flat in the bottom of my vehicles center console. The pistol lays flat on top of it and prevents any sliding or movement of any kind really. I utilized the included double-sided tape to stick the mount and then I pre-tapped holes and secured the mount using some shorter screws than what is provided. My 2nd mount is installed on my bed rail and holds a pistol just like it was glued to the wall. I have an FNX 45 TAC with a fully loaded magazine and it holds it very well to the side of the bed railing. One perk I discovered is that in both of my applications the mount is just tall enough so as to hold my pistol away from the mounting surface and allows solid hand purchase. These could be used all kinds of places. And the coating on these protects your slide, no issues with scratching.

I purchased these so I could mount my Glock 19 under my desk. In the box, you will find two magnets, some 3M PE tape, and mounting screws. I elected to use the mounting screws because I question the adhesion strength of the 3M tape. It would have been nice if the screws were self-tapping. Mounting the magnets with the included screws requires you to either drill a pilot hole or force the screws. Once the magnets are mounted, they are very strong and have no issue holding my 19 and a spare magazine. That being said, removing the gun from the magnet requires a considerable amount of force. I found the most effective method is to mount the gun across the short width and sliding to remove. This arrangement allows for a second magazine to be mounted next to the firearm (both magazines are loaded with 124grain Federal HST with TTI +5 base plates if that helps anyone). I can't complain too much because I would rather the magnet be a little too strong than having my gun and/or magazine fall to the floor.Conclusion: while my review may seem critical, I am very happy with this product. I would say that my gripes are minimal especially given the price compared to a molded holster. Worth the buy.

I read the reviews before I purchased this magnet. It attached super easy to my truck console. It's a truck not a sissy lala vehicle so don't mind putting tiny holes in it. So far works really well for CCW when i'm on the road and may need it in a hurry. Ran several scenarios at the draw to ensure that it would work in various situations. Magnet stayed in place and no scratches to my gun after 50 pulls. Top notch product.
