Gibraltar makes quality drum and cymbal hardware. This one gripped the 1/2" in diameter L rod and was able to withstand the impact on a 10 inch splash cymbal. I had to return it to Amazon.ca for a refund because the arm was not long enough to have the cymbal clear the 10 inch mounted tom. No fault on Amazon.ca because this was an arm not available in the showrooms of neighourhood music stores where I could bring the arm home to try it. Therefore, Amazon.ca was the most popular shopping site to purchase in stock hardware.

I bought this cymbal holder for an 18" china. Originally, I figured I'd just fly it off a tom mount. I ended up sticking an X-hat there, so I just clamped it to the boom of my ride cymbal holder. Perfect. I doubt there's an angle you couldn't set this thing for. It's absolutely awesome. I wish I needed more of these.

For the price this is a very good quality cymbal boom arm and should last a very long time. Gibraltar is a great name in quality drum hardware and you will not be disappointed!

Nice little arm. But it sure is small. But strong and sturdy. I placed a 10 in splash on it and you don't have much room left on the arm. . Still for the price and quality I am happy with it
