New phone much improved...
Our first set of Clarity Cordless phones stopped working. It was not the batteries, it was an internal problem. So, we look for alternatives to Clarity. Although we found other brands of "hearing aid compatible" cordless phones, none of them were close to the quality of sound of Clarity.Except for the color this telephone looks like our old ones, they are not! Our original Clarity units were over 10 years+ old and although they were an immense help we had problems with interference with our computer speakers and land line phones. This is no longer a problem. The new Clarity Cordless phones have a better more defined tone setting. This is very important because it accomidates different types of hearing impairments. A volume control is a great feature however, without the ability to adjust the tone it just listening to a louder blurred voice. The booster, for those of us with slight or no hearing loss, "don't touch that button"!The brighter screen is much easier to read and the talking caller ID is great for avoiding those unwanted robocalls!Whether this is your first purchase of an amplified phone , or a replacement for one that is no longer working, for our money this is the best phone on the market today. It is important to note, we paid full price for these telephones. We were not compensated in any way, nor do we work for Clarity.

Would be better if volume was even louder
Nice phone but the volume is not loud enough. Purchased different phone with slightly louder volume. Louder volume phones are still not loud enough for some hard of hearing folks.

Not easy for the elderly to use
Yes, this phone does provide the loudest sound any other phones have produced for the hearing impaired. Unfortunately, the buttons are not well laid out or labeled for a 93 year old with short term memory issues to intuitively use. For example, the "talk" button is used to answer, hang up, and select menu options. The speaker button has the speaker icon on it but doesn't say speaker. My Dad did not grow up knowing what a speaker icon and doesn't recognize it as such. He starts pressing buttons trying to find it and ends up muting the person before he can find it, if he does find it at all. There is a preset for the boost mode to be on automatically, which is nice. the buttons could be laid out for more simplistic use. This is an expensive phone for my dad, the user, to want to throw it in the garbage. We are going to try and use a sharpie to relabel the buttons. 🤞 At least he is not accidentally blocking us when looking for the speaker button, like he did with the last phone. Having no block button on the phone is a big reason for the 3 rating and not giving something lower.

Great for hard of hearing people.
The phones are easy to set up and are very good for my wife who is hard of hearing. The audio boost function raises volume without any feedback or static.

What used to be a high quality product, failed to live up to prior experiences.
I purchased this same phone for my elderly mother 4 years ago and when those phones started wearing out and malfunctioning, they had worked so well, it was a natural choice to buy this phone again. However, the phones that we received appear to be defective--giving loud electronic feedback, echoing and in general do not function as advertised. The performance is erratic and sometimes there is no feedback but other times the feedback is so loud, no conversation can take place. What a severe disappointment with what used to be a high quality product that enhanced my mother's life.

Works great
Finally a telephone that my 98 year old mother can hear! She cannot remember how to dial numbers, but at least when she answers it, she can hear you when you speak!

Not amplified or loud
The product page claims this phone is "Extra Loud", "amplified", and has "50+ decibels of intelligent amplification". It is none of those things. It is no louder than any ordinary desktop phone, and this is with the volume control turned to maximum and the boost button pressed. This product is just totally unsuitable for people with hearing loss.I'm giving two stars instead of one for easy return and refund.

Volume to low
I owned a Clarity 3.4 base phone for several years. I decided I needed an 'expansion phone' for it. To get an expansion phone for that model I found I had to shop ebay and spend $100. I decided to buy all-new with a Clarity 3.4+. I find the volume on the new phones is insufficient. Using the boost gives distortion and echos. It's as if the lawyers for the company decided that I might hurt my hearing if they provided the volume that the older 3.4 model provided. I am disappointed.Edit 1-23-23Solved the problem in bed while planning to send the phones back. I remembered using the same power supply for the 3.4+ as I was too lazy to go crawling around behind my computer desk to plug in the new one for the 3.4+. Turns out the power supply for the 3.4+ is more powerful. Solved all the about problems. Mia culpa

Not compatible with old models!
Had to buy a new set for my mom as the old set failed at 10 years of use. Price is high, the volume isn't as loud as the old models and is uncompatible

No different from regular telephone.
Was expecting extra volume for a hard of hearing elderly person. But it was no different from a regular house phone. Sent it back.
