Warmth/waterproofThis jacket was actually really warm. I was snowboarding in 20 degree weather and I was actually hot. I also wore it around and it kept me extremely hot. The jacket was also waterproof. I was snowboarding in the snow and fell a couple of times and at no point did the jacket get wet.ColorThe jacket I got was the white one. It’s actually a very bright white color. It is also designed for high visability so I was actually kind of easy to spot even in low visability.UtilityThe jacket had a ton of really deep big pockets. It made carrying things around a lot easier. The only downside was that the “phone” pocket (located on the inside of the jacket near the breast area) is actually really small and didn’t even come close to fitting my iPhone 8. It does have a slightly bigger pocket underneath that pocket but if you’re snowboarding or skiing your phone would be in an uncomfortable spot as it pokes you. This isn’t a big deal but it was a little annoying.Material/qualityThe jacket is made from really nice warm materials. It is a bit thicker than traditional snowboarding jackets but it was still really high quality. The stitching was really well done as well. The fur is also really nicely made. It got wet a couple of times and it always dried nicely and has not gotten matted and gross like most other fux fur.OverallI would totally recommend this jacket. I used it around town as well as snowboarding and it did a great job at keeping me warm and dry. It’s a nice fitting jacket and looks actually quite stylish and it’s a thicker coat. The only downside was the phone pocket but it’s just a minor inconvenience.

I live in MN and this year the winter has been brutal. Singal digets with below zero windchills. We have at least four more months of this. This coat keeps me warm no matter how cold or brutal it gets outside. The fit is great! Love the length, long enough to keep me warm but does not interfer with movement or driving. I am so glad I purchased this coat, worth every penny.

I absolutely LOVE my new jacket!!For reference I am:5'8 1/2"300 lbsPear ShapedHip: 60"Waist: 46"I ordered a size 4X (which is roomy for layers) in the Grape color. (I honestly believe I could have ordered the 3X and it would have fit perfect)Here's a little backstory...We moved to Bahrain 2 1/2 years ago and left all of our winter clothes in storage back in the states because who needs winter clothes in 120 degree heat?? Well, we planned a trip to Germany for Christmas this year and guess what? WE NEED WINTER CLOTHES!! I am plus size woman and have had to order all of my clothes online while living here. (This stresses me out because I am so hard to fit!) I am pear shaped, I carry my weight in my butt, hips, thighs, but also my arms...I usually need the waist of a 22 and the legs of a 24/26 depending on the cut...so lets just say online clothes shopping/trying to determine my size from reviews is EXHAUSTING! I went round and round for months researching winter coats for myself and wondering "would they fit??" We were getting down to the wire and I needed to make a decision. I fell in love with this coat online but desperately wanted it in black but they were sold out in my size :( so I kept shopping around but found myself always coming back to this coat. I bit the bullet and ordered the coat...praying it was true to the color on the computer screen (wine) and not bright purple. The coat arrived on time and when I pulled it out I was instantly in love! The color was even prettier in person!! It's a beautiful deep wine color! I love that there is small high-vis piping on some of the seams that will definitely come in handy at night wearing a dark coat. I love the color of the fur trim (tan), the fur is big and fluffy just what I wanted. There is a bungee around the hood to pull it tighter to your face, but I do wish there was also an adjustment on the back of the hood. The hood is rather large and could definitely use that extra adjustable feature. Also, for me I wish there was one more snap or interior bungees on the sides to cinch in more but I know that I have this problem with just about every top. The jacket is super warm and has tons of pockets! I honestly don't know if I will need my "extra layers" I purchased to keep me warm. All in all I am super happy with my purchase and would absolutely order this jacket again! I hope this helps :)

This coat arrived just in time for the big storm. I really like how warm it is and I love the color (I got the red).The hood is nice and stays up, but the fur fringe can end up blocking a bit of vision.The coat is a great length, I wore it around Bryant park and the cold wind definitely would have frozen my cheeks if I hadn't worn this coat.The sleeve length is perfect and I really like that it is roomy enough for a thick underlayer to be worn on the coldest days, hasn't happened yet, but winter isn't over yet.The zipper is heavy duty and sturdy and so far, has never faltered or caught on my other clothing.My only complaint is with the way the hood is attached to the coat. It is attached with buttons! One of the buttons has already come off. The buttons are small (like the kind you find on a button up blouse) and they have just two holes, which means this one will not be the first to fall off.I can sew the button back on, that isn't the problem, it's just weird that they chose buttons for the hood instead of heavy snaps. Now I have to sew this button back on and I will strengthen the stitches on the other buttons as well because I am hoping this coat will last me for several more winters.

I have never bought a coat without trying it on , so this was very risky for me to spend this kind of money without seeing it first. I was so happy when I opened the package and put it on. It fit exactly as the ad said it would. I am an XL and this coat still gives ne room to put on a heavy sweater and not feel like it’s too tight. The sleeve length is perfect and it is very warm. I wore it while we had a couple of weeks of -35 weather. I fed horses every day and was very comfortable. The hood is nice and big and even has a drawstring to tighten it up around the face in a blizzard. I like that the collar has fleece on the inside so when you zipper it all the way up it’s soft and warm against the face. It also has a nice little waist adjustment on the side on the outside that allows you to bring in the waist a couple of inches if you want that trimmer silhouette.The only thing that I wish is that it had a real fur trim. Faux fur is ratty and so not high end. All faux fur is made from petroleum products and I would much rather have a trim that is organic.It would look and feel much nicer and be actually being warmer as that what fur does.Other than that I am very happy with this product and am impressed with the quality that Alpine North puts into this product as well as the sizing that is so accurate.

I love this coat. I was nervous ordering online but could not find quality plus size coats in my area. I was very happy I placed the order. The coat is very warm but not heavy. The coats great quality and I anticipate it will last for years to come. I love the pockets and that they aren’t small. They are nice and roomy if you have a big phone or just want to have your hands in them to stay warm. Oddly I noticed reviews that mentioned the coat being 10lbs. It definitely is NOT 10lbs. It is a great coat for Canadian winter weather.I got the 4x. I made sure to do a quick measure to ensure best fit. The sizing chart was easy to follow and true to size. I still have room to wear sweaters under the coat of need be.My only disappointment wasn’t with the coat itself but that Alpine North (the vendor) had a huge sale the week I bought my coat. Amazon doesn’t honour the price of the vendor even though they sold it directly from Alpine North.Over all the coat is definitely a quality product and I’d recommend it to anyone who wants a good warm coat for winter.

I really love the jacket, it’s look really warm(didn’t try on the winter yet). Just find 2 problems with it: the hood is attached to the jacket by buttons and one of then was loose when o received it. I think the quality of this jacket deserves a zipper for this hood. The second problem is the fur on the hood, it’s TOO BIG and you can’t remove😔 they should do a removable one.

Very beautiful jacket, true to size if you are a sweater wearer I would size up.Washes and dries great even the hood. Machine wash cold, tumble dry.will do an update when the weather gets colder.

Had this one before but white. It is a great winter jacket for Canadian winters. Very warm! Love the colour!!!
