Round Waxed Dress Shoe laces with Metal Tips

I was originally upset with my purchase. The original shoelaces on my dress shoes were 28" and when having to choose between the 26" and 30" choices for Fintoco, I went with the 30". I purchased one pair of the black laces and a 3-pack of the pastel laces. Since the shoelaces were too long, the metal tips would hit against the shoes when I walked around the office and were noisy as a result. After writing my original negative review, Lyndon from Fintoco took the time to personally email me and recommended the 26" option as a solution to the issue. I took him up on his offer and after using the new 26" laces I can say that not only am I happy with my purchases, but I am extremely impressed with the professionalism and customer service of the company. Thank you for working so hard to make your customers happy!

**January 24, 2019 Update - I originally purchased these laces in June of 2017 and they are still in amazing shape. I polish Mr. MVP's shoes every month and take the laces out each time. The laces have softened significantly with wear, but they show no signs of fraying or breaking. Mr. MVP is unbelievably hard on his shoes. He does not avoid puddles and during the Michigan winter he walks straight through the snow instead of around it. I did just order two new pairs because I got brown polish all over the laces with an overzealous polish brush. I'm going to try throwing the laces in the washing machine once the new laces arrive and see if they survive the experience. Again - do not hesitate to buy these laces - they have great colors and they last forever.We went through a year period of ordering and re-ordering wax shoelaces for Mr. MVP’s dress shoes that promised to be tough and long lasting, but each pair only lasted five months and then died. I finally splurged on the Fintoco laces before he left for a work conference last year so his shoes would be in top shape while he was on stage and then quickly forgot about his shoelaces until this morning when I just started to get his gear around for the same conference and realized I have not purchased him new shoelaces in a full year. The Fintoco laces look almost brand new and Mr. MVP is hard on his shoes so that is saying something. These laces have seen a full Michigan winter and spring and have not had a day off in a year. I took them out of his shoes so I could polish them and was pleasantly surprised at how good they still look. When he needs new laces in another couple years we will definitely be ordering these.

I have a pair of Ecco shoes I really love, a nice soft tan Nubuck, but their soft laces of a slightly contrasting color were wearing out. I knew that one day I would be in a hurry and pull too hard and one would break. Ecco was no help at all. Searching on Amazon, I was using color as my major criterion and Fintoco had by far the most comprehensive selection. I have never thought much about shoelaces but now I understand that there are definitely levels of quality and care in manufacturing--and in pride. My new laces, which are perfect in every respect, arrived with a personal address from the man who created them to the man who purchased them. I would have said that shoelaces are gender-neutral, but not so. The package insert begins, "Hey Dude, THANKS," clearly assuming that laces of this quality have been purchased for men's dress shoes.Well, surprise, fella! Women are breaking new ground everywhere these days and shoelaces are one of the last frontiers. I am delighted with these laces--the color, firm tightness of the cotton, the cool gold-colored tips. They will probably last for the rest of my life, and if I ever need new laces for any other shoes, I will come to Finoco.

I was excited to get these laces. I have had issues finding good laces for a pair of dress shoes that love wearing. I got the laces, and they looked great! -Perfect color and perfect length. I even liked the metal tips. Unfortunately after eight weeks of sporadic use, one of the laces broke!!!! I cannot believe the lace broke given the price for one pair. Not a happy customer. I will continue to look for shoelaces that look as good as these, but will not break.Update #1: Since writing the review, the company has contacted me offering a refund and two free pairs. After a week, nothing. I will keep waiting.Update #2: Although they were a little slow, the company came through with their offers to remedy the situation. I changed my review from a one-star to a four-star based on this service.

Ordered three pairs of these (black, charcoal grey, aqua), which arrived together on time via Prime. The material seems like good quality: slightly stretchy for a good knot but not too much, waxed for longevity but not stiff. However, for a premium product two things need to be _much_ better. 1) I ordered 34" laces, but each of the six laces--including each lace of each pair--were different lengths. 2) The color on the "charcoal grey" was actually medium-light grey. They sent the correct product; it was just a bad dye job. Having done home dying myself, I can appreciate dark/charcoal grey is hard to create. It's not the same as a faded black, and it takes work to get the depth. I also understand the wax inevitably lightens the color a bit. But the aqua was also quite pale, and the black not-quite black.These aren't huge quibbles, except that for $12/pair the quality control should be much better. If it's a finishing touch, then these basics need to be right, consistently. I'm happy to support small business, but there are too many "high end," mostly-online, companies not delivering in this regard. Less attention to the packaging, more attention to the actual product, please.

Fintoco Yellow Round Waxed Dress Shoelaces 26" (66cm) with Silver Tips This range of laces are superb in design and finish. Might seem a strange thing to get excited about but in this case, worth it. I really like a decent lace to finish off the look and these are perfect for my still quite new, relatively un-scuffed DMs. I have no doubt though that they will age well together and last a long time. My only problem is that I want to buy all the colours they have available.The service from Fintoco is second to none - fast and reliable and really nice communications!Go on, treat yourself! A friend recommended I replace the laces on my shoes rather than the shoes themselves, since there wasn't really anything wrong with them except the frayed laces. Now they look great again, and the metal tips even make them look nicer than before!

Purchased for a pair of Loake desert wellies.. Fit perfectly and whilst more expensive than those purchased in the hight street (When the shops have them in stock that is) they not only look the part, but look quality.

Bought these less than a year ago the quality seemed good and I liked the look. Unfortunately one lace has already broken, and both are frayed in numerous places. I was hoping for a much more durable shoelace considering the cost. If they held up I would have loved these but with my experience I would not recommend them.

Perfect. I bought the smallest length for a pair of ten hole shoes and they were great. some people may prefer them slightly longer, personal choice. Well made, waxed, tight fitting metal ends. Should last a while.
