The main reason for the 3 star is the fact that the battery lid kept twisting off on its own, constantly. Batteries kept falling out. I have another brand I picked up at the store called Academy and we love that one way more, but we wanted more for our kids to use and opted to buy from Amazon. I believe the magnetics on top, while useful, may have been one of the factors involved in the lid coming off. It never seemed to stay locked down. Normally our flashlights are hanging on the outside of our bags for easier access, but with these ones we couldn't do that. Batteries are precious during camping and losing them was not cool. We spent almost an hour backtracking and looking for the lid of one of them, and never found one of the batteries. Otherwise it was a great set of flashlights. High beam and lantern light were very bright and useful. The hook was a little too small, we used our carabiner instead. Also the one we got in the store had a rubberized shell on it making it easier to grip it when not using the handle and it stops it from sliding off our table. This is when the magnetic on these ones came in handy, but also one of the ways the lid came off. I'd recommend the one at Academy over this one.

We ordered these for our tent while we were at EF. It can get crazy dark in the forest, and we knew we needed something that could help us find our way during late night adventures. What we didn't expect was how many uses these guys had, and how helpful they were both at camp and in the Forest! we used one for walking and spotting holes, and the amount of grateful people who were able to dodge the ankle breakers was amazing! we also used it as the lanterns for when we were chilling on the ground, and needed to be seen so no one stepped on us. Again, life saver! They were bright, and lasted the whole week with out needing to change batteries! i would def recommend grabbing these! The only problem we ran into was we lost the backing to one of our lanterns, soi would recommend using some tape in case the back gets loose!

I am very happy to write this review because this product is outstanding. I went through Hurricane Florence and these came in just the right time. I had hesitated to purchase and week before the hurricane I had order them. I am so happy and my family was happy we did. I had only 2 at the time and when the lights went out and the PACEARTH COB LED Lanterns lit up our rooms. They were so bright it was amazing! My mother was so proud of me for purchasing these lanterns and so with that I order 2 more and have been telling everyone I can about these lanterns. Getting ready to take them to the mountains in about 2 weeks because we are going away from everything and it will be very dark in the woods. The dual feature of having the flashlight and then the lantern part is awesome. Had a chance to use both features at the same time and didn't know I can use the flashlight and the lantern to get more light. Great product!

I received the package promptly but one of the lamps was broken. A replacement was sent soon after but there was only one set of batteries in the second package. The lamps are great, the packaging, not so much.

As expected and described. These were purchased to add to our hurricane stash. We had four similar lights that performed well for the 8 days we were out last year. Those lights were pop-up lanterns only, and weren't well suited to use as a flashlight when you need directional light without being blinded by a 360 light pattern. This light serves both purposes, area and directional light. Output is as expected. I'm leaving 4 stars as my only concern is that they don't seem rugged enough to survive a drop.

These lightweight lanterns/flashlights are well worth the money. Very impressed with how bright the lantern portion of these units are considering their size. These are actually brighter than a namebrand set of older, much larger, heavy, rechargeable florescent bulb lanterns that I own. Great for power outages, which we experience frequently in our rural area. These units are very practical since they can be used as a flashlight or lantern and are lightweight. I bought an extra set for my aging Mother and these are extremely practical for her. Finally, there is a magnetic base which makes these lights more practical, especially when you don't have an extra set of hands to hold a light while working on the car, truck or even appliances.

There's only one word for this product. Amazing!!For many of you out there that needs a light for camping, roadside emergencies, mechanics, or heck anyone that needs a light, here's the reasons why.1.it's bright. But like 5k lumens light (a normal flashlight ranges from 100-800)2. Multitasker. Has 2 modes. Lantern and light.3.cheap batteries. Comes with own 3AA Akline Batteries (however the top comes off easily when you place magnet on anything) much better than C or D batteries.4. It's really affordable. I've used it maybe 20 times, totalling around 12 hours and not once had I have to change the batteries.Yes it comes in 2. Yes. You should buy it. There's no other reason not to.

I received my first flashlight as a gift & found it to have many nice features such as: a wide base, magnets & a hook for hands free use. It is easy to use and gives off a bright light, 2 types of light (directional & omni-directional) and a carrying handle. I have since purchased another set, kept one for my camper and gifted the other. You won't be disappointed on this purchase!
