I like that the main beams on these are meatl. Strong built. Not the cheap plastic that you get from other stores. Easy to install. Very impressed.

These door surrounds are probably the worst I’ve had. Once installed the plastic starts flexing from the way they sit. It doesn’t help either that you have to use hulk strength to try to get the windows clipped into the door surrounds. It’s like the top itself is too small. This is the second time they have broke on me and it’s in the same spot. I’ll put the top on and they’ll be fine, weeks later I’ll notice the window falling out of place, lo and behold the door surround is broken in half. I send them back and Amazon is emailing me that they’ll be inspected and if not in original condition/unused I will be charged. How? I’m sending that back before 30 days because they KEEP BREAKING! I have stock surrounds on my Jeep right now that don’t work properly with the top. This is ridiculous.

My door surrounds came in what appeared to be original Rampage packaging. Each door surround was pre-assembled as two pieces requiring the user to snap them together and then install on the Jeep. After about an hour of trying to get them to fit with no luck I discovered that the horizontal piece came to me miss-assembled. There are two clips that accept bolts through the roll cage on the Jeep. One clip is longer than the other. The shorter of the two needs to be installed near the windshield, the longer one near the door post. Both sides of my door surrounds were installed opposite of this pattern. Did rampage mess up or was this a product return assembled wrong by a previous user? I don't know, but once I completely disassembled the horizontal part of the door surround and reassembled it correctly, everything fit just fine.

I ordered this product and they only sent the passenger side. I called the support number at Rampage and they told me they couldn't send me the other side and to deal with Amazon since they were the subseller. I ended up returning it and checked Amazon to see if there was another kit for sale and saw Rampage had a kit listed for about 50 bucks more. Seems a bit sus but I got my money back so whatever.

I broke the smitty built door surrounds on my 2009 JK. Bought these and they were easy to install, look great, are study and work amazing with my rampage soft top.

Recently bought a used Rampage frameless soft top for my JK and bought the wrong surrounds, so I had to get these. Install was easy and they work great. At first I thought they were only for the Unlimited since the stock pic shows a 4 door setup. Someone should change that to a 2 door pic since some may not know that the 61099 is for the 2 door only.

I picked these up a few months ago. I had a lot of difficulty trying to get them installed.I reached out to rampage customer service directly, Wes was able to walk me through troubleshooting them.First, pick yourself up a soft rubber mallet to knock the upper and lower assemblies together. Second, ensure you have the roll bar clamps installed in the correct position (short in front, long in rear). Last, be prepared to push the surrounds into place on the roll bar. You’re going to scratch the paint off a bit on the bottom of the bar, but they will fit.They have a decent fit but not perfect. If you want a more affordable option and don’t mind employing a little elbow grease, these are the surrounds for you.
