Everything these days has tiny print on the labels - clothing wash instructions, pill bottle instructions, lists etc. The list goes on. I find that I need these everywhere, kitchen, bathroom, laundry, closet and desk. These particular ones are inexpensive and very clear so I bought many of them. They are lightweight but sturdy.

A reasonable magnifier for the price. The plastic lenses are not of optical quality but if you don't try to push for maximum magnification it isn't an issue, the distortion is acceptable.Like all magnifiers, the magnification number is misleading. When it says it has 10x magnification, it doesn't mean that the linear dimension of the image is 10 time that dimension in the object; a 2mm high letter doesn't appear 20mm high. The number 10X is a measurement of angular dimensions and the two don't track. You will get about 2x linear magnification without much distortion, but it is useless trying to get 3x linear magnification. For comparison, when you mouse over a product's picture on a shopping page to get a magnified image, that image has about 3x linear magnification.All that said, if you are not an optical engineer and just need to read fine print, this should do fine.

This mag isnt 30x by any means. Has a teeny tiny little circle on it that I guess is supposedly the 30x but people with visual issues sure cant see thru that at all~! The 10x is OK, my glass ones perform better, but....this one is pretty, very light as the lens is plastic and easy to tuck in a pocket when going shopping or out to eat so I can see menus and labels. If you need a light weight little mag to carry, this is it but just dont think its going to be 30x.

Works well. Seems to be stable. Like the fact that it has 2 magnification glasses.

Garbage. purchased 90mm 10x30x. Magnification was next to nothing and couldn't focus at reasonably close distances. I'm throwing it out as I don't wish this on anyone who actually needs a magnifier.
