Good purchase for the price
I found this live trap to be very effective and is easily stored when not in use as it folds up for storage.Depending on the type of intruder being trapped...I secure it to the ground with stakes so that it remains in the upright position as to help the trap not get bent and beat up...I found the actuator arm gets bent easily if the trap is not secure.

Effective trap
This trap is easy to put together and set, made of quality materials, and is effective for larger animals. Normally I use them to keep raccoons and opossums away from our chickens but this would be big enough for a coyote if needed.

Good for small animals not for big ones
Setting up the Trap was a little awkward because the instructions suck. But once I figured it out it's very simple and easy to use. I would say the thickness of wire and the rigidity of the cage is a bit subpar. It would be easily acceptable for small animals like squirrels or cats but if you are trying to trap anything raccoon size or larger you would need to buy something much more heavy duty. My other complaint is the quick release function of the back of the Trap puts your fingers and arms away for quite a long time before you manage to actually open it. I do appreciate the sheet metal covering around the handles to prevent the animals from clawing me. But I would not recommend this trap for transportation. I use this trap to trap straight cats to bring them to the shelter. It was very effective but transporting them was a bit sketchy due to the location of the handle and the problematic quick release back door is not very quick. Need something easier to release the back door so fingers don't get bit and clawed off. I suppose if you were trapping an animal you just planned on shooting right away this trap would be just fine.

It works great.
We had a bad feral cat problem in my neighborhood. Unfortunately, we are not allowed to just shoot them and be rid of them. This trap has helped me to capture enough feral cats alive for transplanting and so now the feral cat problems has been lessened quite a bit.Where are the cats transplanted to? I'm not sure of the specifics of the answer to that question. Where ever feral cats go when they die, that's where they've been transplanted to. Where ever that place is, I'm more than just a little bit sure that it's now overrun with feral cats.Cheers

This is the worst product that I've bought from Amazon.
A piece of junk from China. Unfortunately it was purchased in June of 2024 and I didn't try to use it until January of 2025. The instructions were useless and the material was cheap and and a racoon could probably break the cheap metal. I ended up throwing it in the garbage. I replaced it with a trap made in Vietnam. It was quality steel constructed and easy to follow instructions. Lesson learned. I buy hundreds of products from Amazon and I am very pleased with most but this was junk.

Excellent for attracting and trapping
Rear door latch is rather flimsy and though I caught the raccoon during the night. Raccoon or smart and strong. Years ago we hired someone to trap a raccoon that was using our fenced backyard for a bathroom. First night he picked up the trap and dumped the food out and threw the trap a few feet away. Next day we put heavy rocks around it and on top so he had to enter and was trapped. You know when because of the noise he makes trying to escape. This one was getting on our screened in porch and eating our cat's food and climbing the walls. So this worked well, he woke us up trying to get out. I got up and saw him in the trap during the night. I had put heavy items on both sides with the back up against the frame of the porch. He was able to push the trap away just enough to push and bend the flimsy latch enough to squeeze out and escape. You only get one chance. They are too smart to repeat

Very sturdy trap.
This product worked great. I captured two raccoons under my deck in only three days. The instructions are a little confusing but you can figure them out from the picture.

Catch and release made easy!
Easy to set up, easy to use. Just put some bait in it and wait. I got the raccoon sized trap and it works perfectly. I've caught 3 coons, and a possum in 4 nights. All you have to do is turn it over, the door opens, and the critter is at its new territory!
